residente's (standard) Ships Build

I played yesterday in a 3v3 t4 bomb detonation match against a polus.

Well, this guy was incredibly agile and quick, he outmaneuvered my tackler and blew me up within a few seconds, so I guess he also had a good dps (laser beams). But he really did tackle my tackler (t4 lance bartle, adaptive plus hight shield and 400 speed with afterburners plus rotation bonus), I felt like my rights were violated x) I couldn’t even get his shields with my mk4 bubblegun…

Do you have any idea why his ship was so good (modifiers, synergy bonuses…)? Of course it was a skilled pilot but I couldn’t deny the incredible ship stats .

And is it possible to reproduce such a build with the non premium ships aka the grizzlis? I really liked this guy’s gameplay as it was very similar to mine.

If you don’t believe me, ask yeahalex he was playing in my team. Perhaps he was too busy planting all three emp bombs :stuck_out_tongue: or perhaps I’m just a Ace and I got recked by an engie.

The Griz-M is a lot better than the Polus. Not to mention those ships can reach 400m/s+ very quickly. That’s just how Fed Frigates work.

As  Oryngton said, Grizzly-M is superior to the Polus because it’s faster, has better heals and has more hull/shield slots. Only thing is that the Polus has more Engine slots and that could mean a lot of rotation or strafe speed. But other than that I’d go with Grizzly-M any day.

Search here if I posted a Grizzly-M build, I’m pretty sure I did. If I didn’t and you want it, ask me for it.

I also think I posted a Polus build.

I just looked at your builds and I think I found out his build: the same as yours except dps for capacitor (he killed me really really fast). Three engines helps a lot for rotation, I now understand how he managed to always face me even though I was flying around him.

For the grizzly build (I am planning to buy the grizzly m but both have same slots), I hesitate for one of the two engine slots: I appreciate when my ship can accelerate quickly, but rotation is essential for a good frigate… so what do I do? Put 2 vernier or 1 vernier and one acceleration engine slot?

I also prefer resists plus raw shield and hull rather than adaptative shield, but that’s just a personnal choice. Adaptive do really great when flying around like a fed engie should

I’d say 2 Verniers because since Frigate’s acceleration is low, the module wont increase the number THAT much, but in the other hand Verniers work really nice on any kind of ship.

How would you fit a T-Rex Mk II? (Input from Rakza is also welcome)

May I help?

*Wolfy approved this build so it’s good*

Interesting build, although I was looking more for an adaptive build.

Once I get an adaptive build suggestion, I’ll compare the two.

NA$A forums man…

Didn’t see any adaptive builds on the NA$A forums…

Actually, looking back on how I ran the Anaconda-M, I think I’m going to go with a build similar to that.

So similar-ish to the build you just showed me, but focusing less on shield regen and more on resistance and damage.

I should post my t rex build to nasa forums…

I’d build the T-Rex Mk2 like the Anaconda-M. I have it only 6/10 synergy but it would have 3 Adaptive Shields and very high energy stats. Pulsar, Mass Propulsion Inhibitor and I guess the 2 guard heals, or Shield Booster + Liquid Injector.

You’ve helper me a lot with Lance S build and it’s really good,so I wanted to know if you can advise me with Sword build.

The Lance S combat build is really working well so can you tell me a similar build for Sword?

If it could be tanky but also do a lot of dmg,and should i use same build when i get Sword S?

No, you shouldn’t fly them the same way, they’re different kind of command ships.

You need high energy regen to keep using the cruise engine, 2 or 3 adaptive shields will make your ship pretty hard to kill. You can have a similar build without the cruise engine but you will need for example a power unit conduit on the capacitor to add some speed to your ship. Cruise engine doesn’t work that well out of Tacklers but since Sword has so much rotation it can do very good with it. Put supernova ammo instead of cooling charges if you want a lot of more damage, but you will have to control your fire much more.

Sword S

WKDWYqk.jpgThis is the standard diffusion shield tanking build, it will be a pain for your enemies to take down that diffusion shield, beware of ECMs though.

And here is a build I wanted to try but never had the chance/mood to use it, I don’t recommend it unless you know what to do with it

IpMKv5N.jpgIt’s simply exploiting the +10% damage increase with 3 pulse dischargers and a gauss cannon.

Ooooh, I’ve been using the Sword S as an adaptive/diffusion (stupid, yes) singularity build. I should really update it to use rails, since that looks like a really nice fit. Could even fit for rail spam with heatsinks.

Yes it can, just like the build I posted of the Katana S. If you fit 2-3 purple Heatsinks you will reach the cap, adding the 10% damage bonus and the x2 CPU you can deal a lot of damage with the Sword S. But Imo that kind of build would work better on the Excalibur.

Thanks, I will try it out but I know without a doubt that it will be great

I usually use ion beams on my commands to play as a frigate blower, but is it really usefull? It can sometimes be verry hard to kill inties with it…
