Repair cost

the system of unlimited spawnship on arcade make each dead counted increase the repair cost, unlike playing regular where you only use one ship each make it affordable…

 

not sure for the defense mode… so far im always gain there win or lose, despite not as much as doing arcade

I think the costs are fine as well, although I rarely die more than twice per match (admittedly the first death is usually a self destruct to get out of my dwarf and into my Gator after cappin the first beacon) , and since being T2 I average 80-120k (I never let my license expire).  

 

Even w/o the license bonus I would still be making profit.  I really think this is a great mechanic to get ppl to play smarter since you are punished for playing foolishly.

Also, this is a good (and fair) incentive to get ppl to pay for the licence, you know, it helps feed the Dev’s families, and kittens.

it also denpends on your team…if they don’t know how to fly you’ll die a ton of deaths trying to win which will increase repair costs

I think the death repair rates need a reduction at rank 4, 500k is a bit much. Other then this, i did not notice a problem with repairs.

 

I do however support the already posted position of repairs being reduced i think this will help to blur the current cost rates of repairs.

The repair costs allmost allways stay fthe same between 20-40k a game when i only get a max of 60-80 k per games then you have to pay for ammo witch is around 15k.
I would suggest not changing the rapair and increasing the amount of creds you get depending on what tier you are so

teir 1 get around 50k in a good game

tier 2 get 80-90

tier 3 get 90-100

tier 4 get 100-105

for 1 ship repair you must pay 100k. 500k means…he dies 5x.

But even if you only die 2 times you pay 200k and just get only 150-180k Creds.

Yep with a tier 4 faction you have to pay 100K by loose. We experienced this yesterday, what a bad surprise.

Okay, by now even i say this is too much!

With so much repair costs, people will camp even more. Sure, in RL you would be ceraful too but c´mon, this ain´t no simulation!

actually i only died 2 times, so bugged? but either way its expensive. 100k it way to much i like the idea of 50-100k repairs depending on the tier it seems fair. i really support the ship cost reduction, it will give room for bad games like that, an alternative credit dump for economic stability is to add the option to pay credits to level the snyergy of the ship out-right. if the player does not want to they can always gain access to the synergy level via exp. i think this system in general needs to be looked at over again, because the idea of only getting exp with kills on syngery of ships seems, a tad funny.

 

I am working on an idea to give synergy a point rate for 3 categories

 

Damage

Support

Tank

 

Each time damage is done, the synergy damage level is upgraded

each time the support module is used it gives an upgrade to the ships electronics etc

each time damage is tanked, or healed, the ship gains synergy that improves defenses

 

 

we should beable to upgrade each one based on a credit and or gs rate something like

 

1- 50k

2- 100k

3- 250k

4- 25gs

5- 50gs

 

this will help us to credit income for the game and  a sink, that will give us room to breathe on the whole high shpi cost bit.

that room from the ship cost will in return give us more repair room from there a simple reduction in tier 3-4 will do. say about 15% of tier 3 and 30% of tier 4 just to throw some numbers around

only problem with dr bliss’s theory is that the game has tier 5 being made, and more planned.

 

so the idea of tier 4 being end game, is not an accurate conclusion, there for dr bliss is out of his mind 

it depends… if bliss does only tier 4 and not the future tiers he only was able to judge this far…

 

 

i also do not think there will be another tier after 5…they would have to rework the hole rank system

Umm, i think the repair cost is fine as it is. It forces players to think before rushing into battle. My repair cost is around 20k as well but my contracts and playing smart keeps me from paying so much in every game. If you don’t die, your repair cost will be 8k max. I suggest you start hiding behind some frigates like me xD

Yeah repair fines are great were they stand im currently playing a teir 3 fighter with no license so everything does come alot slower including credits so in battle i have to play smart and I try to limit my deaths to atleast 1 per match. This is also the reason i like this game nothing come fast and easy you got to put in hard work to keep on progressing so for the people qquing about just play smart and quit playing like a kamikaze.

If you keep losing in T2 ships then you are a T1 pilot. Matchmaking, it works!
