I’m getting some heavy packet loss in all game modes. I didn’t really understand how to do the MTU test but i don’t have disconnection issues either, so that’s not the problem. I did the other test for packet loss once on an AI map and once on a PVE map. I’ll provide the logs here. Can anyone tell me what’s going on and if it’s something i can have fixed? I also tried pinging my own router and modem and pinged google as well and was receiving 0% loss so i’m guessing the problem is with specific game servers?
packet losses happens thruough the whole of the half path on every each channel between them accumulating the total loss which knoks the server door:

Trace complete
So, we have no problem with server connection from the server side, No with its uplink.
We have a little problem with packet losses (3% in total) on you side and your ISP
The heavest path of the problem is in somewere-in-the-middle-of-the-whole-path. And its not your ISP blame or ours.
So the red line: We cant influence on the equipment in between the path. You just can try to play different region wich has a different path. So if the problem persists, try to set preference to RU servers in your game client. The RU region may be more comfortable to play. Or just wait till the losses come away. may be try to play another time for example.
thank you for the detailed answer. if there is a small problem with the isp and another problem in-between, is it possible that the problem is originating from the router or modem? sorry if this is a silly question, i’m not that good with understanding internet problems…
Also, what is snapshot loss rate? i seem to getting a lot of those too…

no, those problems are not related with your router\modem.
concerning snapshot losses: … Snapshot is the state of the world at the moment, i.e. the objects locations at the time. The state of the world is controlled by the server. Server constantly send you these data about the world state. So if, for some reasons, your client app cant receive from server a series of the snapshots you might experience strange objects behaviour around you. The causes of these snapshot losses might vary from networking issues to high cpu load.
I just wanna update that i spoke with my ISP and they messed with some settings and asked me if i’m still getting loss, and i was. Then they told me to hold and did something again, then my loss was completely gone!!! I recommend that anyone who’s having loss trouble, talk to ur ISPs! They just click a few buttons and POOF, problem solved!
oooo, man i think you are the first case on this forum when someone actually tried to fix his connection issues proactively ”)
