During play, red text is appearing in the general chat. Apparently it’s from the German chat channel.
Game settings have the default chat set to English and General chat in game is disabled.
Did you try to restart the game?
I was seeing orange (squad / group colored) chat text while in pve. I wasn’t in a squad. I was on a 4-person match-made pve group where our chat is blue. The orange chatters were not in the pve. My settings are English. The orange chat was English. I don’t think they were in general chat. I could see the other people who were in general chat with the expected white text. My guess is: I was seeing some squad’s chat. Papitas was one of the orange text chatters I was seeing.
It seems to be fixed through the latest patch - exit and restart the game, should help!
