Rebellion: Give us the old LRF back!

Hello!

We know, the v.1.0 is a great thing Blabla.

But now to the point, they nerfed the RT, the modules was OP…

It had to get nerfed. They also nerfed the Long Ranges by themselves.

They decreased the hull & shield, not terrible but bad.

They decreased the disintegrator damage by 20%…

20%! !! !! !

Here is the ending of this. Seriously. Since the RT is nerfed the LRF became almost normal again.

But no, instead of buff the JLRF they nerfed the ELRF a lot.

They gave us 20% more RoF? What? This is no excuse.

In the 0.11.16 they reduced the RoF to 15 shots per minute, it was at 17. Now we have 18 with 20% less damage. This is insane!

Maybe this might be unintresting for most people but…

At all prould Long Range Pilots. Please support me & the Long Ranges, we want the old ones back, right?

I spent a lot of time to get all ELRFs & fit them full Mk4, it was my absolute favourite ship for a long time, but they just nerfed it. The LRF nerf was not required.

I want that the LRF dominate the battlefield again!

If not… Sell all your Long Ranges & Salvage all modules on them.

LRF should have their Special Module damage reduced by 100%. Maybe then they’d actually leave Spawn and do something productive in a match.

I have just one thing to say :

Snipers don’t need RoF.

Snipers don’t snipe with machines guns, but with low firing powerful shot.

Combined with EM nerf, ELRF have taken a huge nerfed (much more then JLRF).

Even better, the damage nerf for JLRF torp while everybody was saying it’s useless…

And actually i think there are more nubs in spawn with LRF now than before! And with this nerf they are now more useless than before!

  1. LRF module they could nerf in my opinion - IR Pulsar, this module is damn annoying, it’s a 30sec+ White Noise Jammer for multiple targets. <_<

thats like me saying I want the old 13 seconds overdrive back on a gunship so it is really over-powered again :stuck_out_tongue:

seriously? I think the lrf are just fine as they are now and vote for no. LRF were OP before the nerf and are still xxxx strong in the hands of aces.

 

I would’ve gone an other way than the devs. Buff LRF Damage and Nerf rof to only a few shots per Minute. So that when you shoot, it has to count, but if you hit, it’s devastating.

 

On the other Hand, I’d rather have them removed from the game and replaced with another class, but that’s probably not gonna happen.

I’m torn with this.  ELRF needed a nerf relative to JLRF.  But since JLRF got nerfed, ELRF got extra nerfed.  Instead of buffing JLRF it’s screw over the class.  The ROF nerf I understood since it kept the one shot pops.  Now it’s a damage assist weapon?  JRLF’s torp has always caused headaches for the devs.  Here’s a tip for you devs, the cloud doesn’t matter!!!  The LRF portion of JLRF is weak.  Yes it’s a missile, but you’re almost defenseless when using it.  I use it more for scouting than damage.

 

The devs always over compensate.  It’s kind of sad to me.  I expect a buff soon.

 

When they nerf the main weapon ROF, they will cross the line.  Then I’ll ask for a refund on my Mauler.

The LRF is worst than the Guard after the v0.7.0 (aka the +75% Damage on the Phase Shield Bonus) for the game. And you are complaining?

 

This ship was never balanced before the massiv nerf it deserved.

 

Tell me more about the Risk Taking from Sniping at 12km… Tell me more about the Positionning of this frigate… Tell how LRF are participating to the Objectives of a battle just by Sniping far from the rest of their Team-mates…

Tell me more about the Team Dependancy of this ships before the nerf… 

 

Let me teach you something : Frigates are support Ships, All of them. Not Killing Ship, we let this to the Fighters and the Interceptors because it’s how it supposed to be.

The Desintigrator and the Guided Torpedo are pressure tool that was used as OverKilling tools. Wait until new players start to be pissed off by being Oneshooted by T1/T2 LRF while they are learning how to play, that will be even more funny.

First they send you a message, then they will make sure you understood it.

Everything is useless when you don’t know how to use it Properly.

The Guided Torp is far from being useless.

Secondly, as all the other explosive weapons / Missiles, the Guided Torpedo does not suffer from Degressive Damage due to the range.

 

Mk5 Desintigrator T5 = 12038 Dgm/Shoot

Mk5 Guided Torpedo T5 = 9575 Dmg/Shoot + 2710 Dmg in 10 seconds (+25% against frigates / -25% against Ceptors)

 

So, For you 12038 is not enough? While the desintigrator have no Direct Counter at the difference of the Torpedo, a much more better RoF and Projectile Speed?

 

That’s strange, I’m pretty sure they could have done a better nerf, I’m still finding the Torpedo much more balanced than the desintigrator.

I actually think LRF module should be reworks to be more deadly, but much longer CD but slightly shorter range… a CD thats going to be long enouigh to be a bore to just sit there and wait for it to cool down.

 

BUT

 

I also think LRF should have a passive range buff on the main weapon, so they more encouragement to use those 6 turrets which in reailty are far more deadly than the module, people tend to forget LRF has more guns than any other ship, so its dps is the highest even without the module.

What about a complete LrF rework? For more playing inside the map.

 

I Think that is a great idea. It would probably be enough to just change their special module.
