It look like some one got used to farm low ranked ships, 1-2 shooting them with orion shrapnel, and now it takes at least some effort, and all of a sudden it has to be a bug…
Aw come on kosty, don’t be like this, making it all personal again. Yes, I am a scrub, yes I play in rank 9 with high damage ship. I also play engie and command, and styx and prometheus X are my highest synergy ships, so stop always making it out like I make these posts just to conserve my Ace farming abilities. I do it for the good of the game in general, as I see it.
I have never fought against rank 5 ships before with my rank 9s so I have no idea. All I know is this was NOT mentioned in the patchnotes, and there is NO mention of it in-game either, therefore it is a bug.
And what is the point of me designing my ships in hangar when all the enemy ships are getting bonuses in battle which drastically reduce my damage output? Like I said before, if the devs want to go down this path then they should just make all ships equal and put all ships in the same matches and make the game purely based on aiming skill and map knowledge , and not on ship-building tactics. Which would be stupid. If they want to make dynamic balancing then they should just not place rank 5s vs rank 9s in the first place, and make it so there are no hidden tiers (they are still in the game and have been since forever)… A rank 10 ship should have an equal chance of being put in an 8-10 match, a 9-11 match or a 10-12 match. Simple.
In the current MM iteration, we have four tiers, two of which i tried last night. I tried the 5-9 one and the 10-13 one. In the first one, all ships are pretty much equal due to the bonus, which is just crazy. In the second one, rank 10 ships are useless because they are faced against rank 13 wakizashis and apollos and brokks, which just demolish them (and don’t read by this that I want rank 10 to receive hidden bonus: they should not be in the same match in the first place). Although I have not tried them, I assume the last two tiers are 1-5 and 12-15 although I could be wrong on this. Where is the “dynamic balancing” in this?!? It makes no sense, and if the devs find that it makes sense then they should justify it in a dev blog or patchnotes or in-game tooltip. I’m sick of all the secrecy which leads to excuses such as “it’s a feature” even though it was a bug, or the other way around, blatant bugs being labelled “working as intended”, as this one probably will be come Monday morning when Skula makes his weekly English forum check.
