I have encounterd a few times, that in R7-R9 Spec Ops vs. the Destroyer his second form Emitters - first form are Emitter that shoot EM-spheres - use lasers, that can even target you THROUGH his own hull.
Is this WAI or a bug? Because on other obstacles they don’t pierce through it.
Yup. In many games, you don’t have collision model against your own shells/shots, but you will have for sure against enemy fire. But you have a damage model in case the weapon have splash damage, but I never ever seen a game where you’re able to penetrate yourself with a direct shot from your own weapons. (There’s that one game actually, which have a weapon that ricochets off walls, soooo you can hit yourself.)
didn’t you mean “bubbles”? If laser can shoot through your own hull, how come LRF sometimes shoots only a single beam at target below/to the side instead of 6?

The bubbles - EM-spheres - detonate on his own hull.
The second emitters have a green laser, that can follow you and go through his hull in some cases(an opposite laseremitter target you through himself).
The third purple laser seem to have no emitter and just come at points out of his hull.
And yes for me it’s strange, that you can shoot ‘through’ your own hull. I have never encountered such a behavior, as the weapon itself is restricted by it’s own model in his angles to don’t stick through the hull/shoot through it.
well, I’m fairly certain it’s not working as intended for 2 reasons: reason 1: they haven’t always shot through the ship’s own hull… they shoot out and away, the far emitters shouldn’t be shooting accross the ship
reason 2 is that now the ship in fire support is doing it with it’s blue orbs… you get not just the turrets on the side your on shooting at you, but the ones on the far side, too… worse, when behind the ship, the blue orbs are flying out of the engines and you can’t tell where they are comming out…
