Charactername: - DarthSpork
What did you expect to see: - I expected to stay in the game instead of being disconnected
What happened: - I was captain during a combat reconnaissance arcade pvp game. I spent most of the game looking at the map because my team was doing a good job of protecting me. Only 1 enemy came closer than ~7km and we killed him quickly. Then, after a few minutes of only looking at the map I was disconnected for inactivity (I was moving my mouse and pressing the ‘v’ key to view hull/shield health, so the game client could have noticed that I was actually active). I immediately reconnected, but the captain had switched to another player who shortly died.
What was your last action: - viewing the in game map I guess.
Is the bug reproduceable, if yes please describe how to reproduce the bug: - viewing the map while in game is considered inactivity
Please attach at least one screenshot or make a little video of the issue: - I do not have media regarding the situation.
Attach the game logs from the session to your post as .“txt”(Only the logs from the session where the bug occured. The logs are located on
My Documents/My Games/Star Conflict/logs): attached as the file ‘DarthSpork_log_1.txt’
What are your system specs: - attached in file ‘system_info_from_stream_041513_DarthSpork.txt’
What internet connection do you have: - Comcast broadband. My internet connection is excellent and not related to the issue I am reporting.
I would like to note that I understand that disconnecting players for inactivity is intended client behavior. I am trying to point out that I was not actually inactive when the client disconnected me for inactivity. Obviously the easy workaround is to just move my ship every minute or so in a similar situation. Overall it is a very minor bug, but a disappointing way to lose a match.
