[R] Game crashes when mission accomplished in Invasion

If I play invasion and complete a blue mission the game crashes sometimes. Not always but every other time.

I haven’t found any log files, are there any?

locate game.log

gives me ~/.local/share/starconflict/

 

as the folder where log files are stored. not sure if its the right one still, since i only see one set of logfiles, while on windows its in subfolders, i am also not sure how it looks like on your side, I haven’t used sc on my tux-box for a while.

Mhh ok, the logs don’t say anything unusual. I also got it to crash on a main mission this time (yellow/gold) but it’s still just sometimes.

it crashes sometimes when I complete a kill mission.  Not sure if they want specifics.  But It’d be nice if when a crash happens, that I can resume where I left off with my current cargo.  I’ve lost millions so far.

got the same problem. I’m also unable to locate any kind of error message connected to this. It occurs on blue and golden missions but only ‘sometimes’.  There are days where I can run 3 blue missions and the golden mission all in one go, and the next day, the game crashes on completing the first mission (or second, or third…)

 

My system:
Ubuntu 14.04 64bit

AMD Radeon HD5870 (open-source radeon/mesa driver from Ubuntu’s repository)

As he already said correctly. PLS attach game.log file which is located:

C:\Users%USERPROFILE%\Documents\my games\StarConflict\logs

@Vecrox this is the linux subforum…not the Windows subforum. Such a path does not exist on a Linux machine

 

Anyway, it happened again to me just now.

Missions:

[blue]Federation, kill an enemy cartel spy in Ice Pits.

[gold]Federation, find out why our cargo transports are disappearing on their way to/from Poseidon Complex

Crash happened after I traversed the Unknown Space (after which the golden mission’s status changed to ‘head back to the station’) and just when I killed the Cartel spy.

Apparently ‘crashreporter’ is the game’s crashreporter. So the crashreporter crashed…not the first time I saw that.

I’m running a 64bit Ubuntu 14.04, if that’s of interest. Also I can confirm that, so far, this only happens on killing missions

Game crashed again, just now.

 

Mission was Jericho, destroy the cyber scout in the starting sector. The moment I destroyed it, it crashed.

and again. Jericho mission, had to destroy a cyber captain as a gold mission. Just when I killed him, the game crashed

Game crashed again upon completing a blue mission (killing the cartel captain in water harvest). I completed two different blue missions beforehand (both involved killing groups of cartel pilots). I also didn’t have any crashes ever since the patch last week. Wich leads me to believe that there is some kind of bug affecting missions where you’ve to kill one specific target.

after doing some more missions it seems like this only happens with missions that:

 * Require one to kill exactly one (1) ship

 * End with killing that ship.

   Clarification: Missions that require you to kill a ship but require you to dock with the station after that do not seem to crash the game.

Ok I’m not sure if something happened here, but I managed to complete several missions that fit my above observation without the game crashing. Most of those were in Empire.

 

I’ll try to ‘get’ the missions I posted logs about to see if the problem still exists.
