Now that we have settled some things about the mechanics,I think its time to get more in-depth with the game’s storyline, for example:
-Will ever get to know more about The Emperor?
-Will Operation “Hydra” succeed? And if yes, then what can be found out about them?(Major Winkler is trying to capture a live Biomorph)
-Will we ever get to know more about ‘Bartle’?Since as much as I’ve read, people seem to treat him like some kind of god.
-Will we ever find out how Cristallid ships are made?(probably just grown up like plant sprouts and given orders but a more detailed explanation can help)
-Will we ever meet/fight against Ms Summer again?
These are just some examples I came up with,I’m sure you got more questions and maybe with some luck they will reach to the devs and get some explanations so we wont only know the game by mechanics but also by the story, another important part every good game should have.

Remember,ask only about the storyline/lore.
I don’t think so
In the mission, if I’m not wrong, you have to kill the biomorph because you fail to capture it, so no.
I’d like to have some stuff related to him, but I think he’s dead. He lived during the 27th century, now we’re in the 41st.
In my opinion, we’ll get an alien ship at the end of the event, Cinnamon in another post gave us some hints.
Probably
Anyway, I’d like to know if we will ever interact/meet with the precursor and use their tech. I’d love to use some precursor weapons.
“Growing discontent in the army helps one of the most influential generals commit a takeover in 3570 (the so-called Purity Revolt lead by the 4th Separate Mechwarrior Brigade). Declaring a state of emergency, the general seizes power, disbands Direktorium, and declares the foundation of the Empire. Then he renounces his name, becoming a faceless Emperor. The entire vast territory of the Empire begins to work for the war. Media tacitly accept a centralized program of propaganda. The answer to Jericho’s cruelty: doubled cruelty. As the Cult of the Emperor is cultivated, he proclaims himself a direct legacy of the Great Emperor of the Earth.”

Jericho did it, they literally had a freakin “Hunter” duct taped in their Hangar. The Ronin and the Saw One are the result (plus some other stuff)

"Religious fanatics prompt numerous rebellions with their leader and messiah, Bartle, intelligently organizing and directing them. Possessing a natural gift of persuasion and armed with advanced implants of his own design, he gathers billions of followers in a few short months in support of his so-called Frontier rebellion movement. Gigantic prison ships are built to contain all fanatics and sent into deep space. These shuttles are pre-programmed not to return piloting control to the crew until 10 years after launch. Bartle is still at large. "
Took me 30 seconds to find infos on the star conflict wiki.

So he still remains a impartial and anonymous figure?Welp,Not like he still has a huge impact on the game’s mechanics…

Oh yeah, forgot about that, but I don’t think that the Crystallid ships can serve as vessels for the Liu Virus, since most probably that’s what the Major tries to do,find a cure for the virus and stop the infections, have you ever fought Biomorph frigates?(Inquisitors that have double the firerate with the Turbophasers compared to the infected Katanas)
The capturing of live biomorph fail only, because the contract ‘say’ kill him(due the intercepting of other biomorphs). Would be nice if you just take a long time to ‘scan’-capture him. So if it’s to risky for you to capture him, than better safe than sorry and kill him/the others and ‘fail’ the mission. That would be nice.

How they can have rescue capsules as transformed ships?
Especially with the ships itself doesn’t even have this mechanic?(At least what I read in this forum about clon saw themself before dying)
But now a big question arise: How can a Virus(determined as NON-living thing) cause a living thing? They just use a host to reproduce themselfs(not even transforming them in any way out of this need). So how can these biomorphs even be created? They need for that a secondary source. Maybe it’s a different kind of parasite? A few parasite exist, that change things in their host completely and creating so their ‘own’ body/will.
This is space, there could be any odd kind of “viruses” ;p Also, humans are made from atoms which are non living things afawk ”)
