When I de-constructed my mjolnir I lost about 1/3 of the ship parts, they didn’t get turned into seperate materials/monos or anything like that.

Crafting ship does not require any Monos directly. Monos go into parts, parts + moneys make a ship.
When you disassemble a ship you get 2/3 of used parts and moneys back. You do not get raw resources or monos as items.
P.S. I had exactly same results as CrO.

On this one I confirm he is entirely correct. You do not recuperate monocrystals, since they are already used up in the parts. But you do get about 2/3 of your parts back. Which is a good price I find, for disassembling. I expected to get a lot less back when I disassembled mine.

Though I probably won’t be disassemble my Octo. I can practice adaptive builds on other ships, currently my octo does fine in either strafe tank or semi adaptive “fun” ship as it is not optimised for such things XD
