"i always though that the strafe worked same as thrusters
you need acceleration to strafe faster “reaching top speed” , but the maximum speed is usually around 120 without upgrades. "
but i have not got it tested 100% yet, if i add more strafe speed “maximum speed” it seems to accelerate faster, but if i add acceleration it doesn’t seem to be so fast.
appreciate all answers!
how strafe acceleration works
you dont reach maximum strafe speed instantly as you strafe, so does applying acceleration make it accelerate faster like main thrusters or adding more strafe speed “maximum strafe speed” make it faster?
it sounds obvious to be acceleration but as what i have tested, that does not seem to be the case
seems like you didn’t have an answer for that one :004j:
Supposed CC makes ships more manuveurable. What is that talking about? Ship deceleration? Strafe speed? Strafe deceleration?

Your question is worded incorrectly. What the OP is trying to say is:
We know that when a ship strafes, it does not reach max strafe speed instantaneously. The ship must first accelerate to max strafe speed.
So how do we increase strafe acceleration?
Does inertia stabilizer increase strafe acceleration along with strafe speed or does tetroxide injector increase strafe acceleration along with main ship acceleration?
my question is still the same, cause if i use a command ship and add extra engine speed +30% my strafe seems faster. “and why is that”? it should be exacly the same
my acceleration doesn’t increase from this module, just my main speed.

MrDuck you dolt… I just said that!
P.S.
Strafing is also left or right…
You edited your last post… Now this post makes almost no sense.
you can only get a proper answer to a proper question
There are 2 acceleration “types”
-regular acceleration
-acceleration while using AfterBurners
Strafing acceleration value is a fixed value (cant remember the actual number) and you can not change or affect this value in anyway. The only thing you can affect is Strafing AB value (by disabling AB via tackler/energy-drain/guards debuffs)
Does strafing while afterburning increase strafe max speed and strafe acceleration?
Also answer my CC question too please.

Based on my understanding and what Kosty said, strafe acceleration is completely independent of everything. There’s a regular strafe acceleration that’s awfully slow if you fly a frigate, and a AB strafe acceleration that’s faster. So in a sense, ABing while strafing does increase the acceleration.
I don’t think there’s any way to modify strafe acceleration. Even tackler or guard anti-AB modules don’t reduce the strafing speed per se; they just prevent you from using the AB strafe which has better acceleration.
ya
if you use afterburners then ur strafe goes faster. -_-

No you don’t go faster, you accelerates faster, but the strafe speed is the same.
if you start to strafe from full speed, naturally, your acceleration helps; but not for the strafe itself.
you can only increase the maximum strafing speed, with CC and T4+ strafing modules.
CC additionally gives the collision reduce, and some turning angle-speed.
