PvE - Sector Conquest or Dreadnought Battle is affecting the Pilot's rating!

Bug report:

 

 

What happened?

Dreadnought Battle is considered being a PvE scenario since you also get bots to participate in a battle.

However, Pilot’s rating is affected every time that you play SQ or Dreadnought Battle.

 

What should have happened?

Dreadnought Battles should not change the Pilot’s rating since this scenario is considered to be PvE.

 

How to replicate this bug:

  • Start Sector Conquest battle.

  • Play one match.

  • Check your Pilot’s rating (before and after) the match under Player’s profile.

  • Spot a difference in the rating. (a bug)

But it is PvP.

Being called PvE is likely the true bug here.

Probably. Still, most people consider it as PvE.

If you play against real players then it is PvP.

if you don’t get real players for opponents then you get bots - in this case, it is PvE

and if we get both  ?

It counts like PvP if you get just one live opponent.

So one real player and seven bots against full wing is regular PvP

We’re considering an option to remove bots from Sector Conquest mode in the near future

I suggest removing bots (Combat Drones) altogether and regular bots that replace players.

I plan to write an improved version of Sector Conquest with minor changes to gameplay mechanics.

 

I do not consider this game mode as PvP because of one simple reason. You cannot earn any medals, like Maniac, etc.
