Spend less
Agree on the contracts though, a lot of them I never complete as they involve weapons I have no interest in using (Lasers) or actions which are rather rare.

Credits are easy enough to come by as it is now. I find it hard to spend them faster than they come in.
I rarely queue solo though, I think I’ve tried that like, once. Ever. Just chain-queue with a half decent group and it’s pretty easy to make credits.
Try queuing solo for a couple days. I’d say 75% of the time it’s steamroll or get steamrolled. Only about 25% does it seem balanced.
Huh, to be honest the results thus far kind of surprise me. My intent for this, and polls I’ll post in days and weeks to come, is to get as broad a cross-section as possible as to what people are drawn to in different assets of the game.
When this poll seems to have petered out I’ll pop the next one, aiming to be more specific and drill down into the “why” of the results.

Flying solo would remove the hilarious banter about the match on Teamspeak and erase 75% of my enjoyment.
I wouldn’t even consider playing this kind of game without a corporation.
Well…I liked the old faction rank system. It might have been a grind but it at least had a solid thing.
The new one requires you continually play as the same ship…for a long…long time, then you get to unlock the new one.
Its like saying Hey, i know you could have just saved up credits for that line of ships, but now you have to pay AND synergize with each ship.
And with no shortcuts to synergy, it seems like this game just go absolutely boring.
(not to mention paid ships are still rank required, how you unlock them now idk).
Also, how are you supposed to get to higher rank for implants if everything is synergized? Keep just playing your same vehicle the entire time? Wow…thats pretty lame, and extremely grindy.

Totally agree,
This game just go absolutely boring with this new line ships lock.
This thread started exactly one day before 0.9.0 hahaha
first few posts clearly mentioned how we liked the system but rather have the ship tree reworked.
instead we ended up with ‘The Synergy’ because apparently
“we asked for it” lol
[edit]
this deserves a sticky as a reminder of how much can be lost in translation from this forum to the dev’s feedback desk
I just remembered… there was a lady I met during my theatre stint. She was working with a Russian crew, and she asked over email for some crew members to help her focus the stage lights. When she arrived at the theatre the next day, she found only mannequins. The number of ‘people’ was correct, though.
Somehow, ‘crew members’ was translated to ‘mannequin’.
I like the current system. I love it. I just think it takes EONS to unlock anything of good for your ships. It really shouldn’t take this long to get to T3.
When I see a lot of people play T3… I think it should have taken them even longer. T2 is the perfect playground for people to learn, especially how the game modes work. It’s amazing that so few people actually know how to play beacon hunt right.
Back when I could first buy T3 ships and tried it, it was absolutely horrible. I was completely destroyed every time I tried to engage someone. After that episode I thought “T3 = no fun” for a very long time. So I mastered T2 with a wingman until we started to feel sorry for the other team. In recon we were reliably taking out the enemy captain within 20 seconds. That’s roughly the time it takes a Swift to make it across the map with a bit of a detour.
So I learned how to properly play in T2 and of course, I now have all the blue modules I need. Now T3 feels a lot more manageable. Save random deaths to nukes, that is. I still need to work how to avoid those.

As opposed to the 100% steamrolls if you’re part of one of those elite corp squads I frequently encountered in T2. You know, four players all 1400+ rating, all purples and perfect teamwork.
