If I fit my hangar with Grim/Phoenix/Reaper (and nothing else) I’m send to tier 2.
The ships themselves are balanced. Hell, those 3 particular ships are really underpowered when compared to their counterparts (Black Swarm, Anaconda-M & Styx). But it’s how the MM handles both Premium ships AND squads that makes them overpowered.
If the devs were really interested in balancing the game, they’d follow what mechanics ESB abuses and fix those things. I haven’t seen an ESB squad with R9’s that I can recently recall.

Off topic, anyone ever seen ESB in a tackler?
Started 4 man squads in WPK as well, like, screw everything.
Well, im back playing a little bit more per day, and after half a month im writing here what i found out to be extremelly disturbing about the matchmaking.
Ive been playing T2 for this time, to max out the rest of the ships, and obviously i have quite a good gear with all T2’s i fly. So basically here’s the problems.
2-man squad, only blue weapons equipped and around 1200 rating. Im not complaining about having to fight T3’s if they are max rank 8, and even among r8 there should be none with blue/purple gear and ratings above 1200. Because acording to what has been said, the MM takes skilled players and pit them against stronger challenges, but it is not a challenge if the enemy is flying for example, an Anaconda-M which is clearly a R9, and carrying blue/purple gear smashing everyone with EM torps and massive positron shots as it happened to me, when the queue was showing ranks 5-8.
So basically, what im asking is not to be given free frags, but also dont give impossible to win fights. Today for example, we (me and my brother) fought ppl with 900 rating, but piloting a desert eagle with great gear. Even though he should be a poorly skilled person acording to rating his ship simply smashed through anyone who was flying a T2 and was pratically indestructible. So, what im asking is not to remove outright mixing tiers, but setting limits so a tier never fights the next end tier ships.
Why do that? Because of the modules diference we have between tiers. For example, ECM T3 has an ability that completely disables the enemy ship, while the T2 doesnt have that hability. Not to mention the passives and the extra skill slot it can carry, diferent and more usefull kinds of ammunition and extremelly powerfull DLC and premium high-end T3’s (An full octopus in the face of a tier 2 ship (inties and fighters) is enough to blast it into oblivion sometimes. Acording to this, either make modules and amunitions equal between all tiers, or at least prevent any kind of tier 2 for example, to fight r9’s. And apply that to all tiers, like Tier 1 never facing R6’s. And so on in all tiers.
Tweak matchmaking for combat recon: Please do this properly, im really tired to see the MM chosing on my team a low IQ low tier LRF and chosing the enemy cap as a fully equipped well flown 1400 sr maxed out ecm interceptor. Chose both captains properly.
Why do we have a so high map repetition. Like we fight hundreds of times on about 3 maps, and a few dozen on 2 more. And some are completelly gone! Also, it seems 60% of the games are anoying detonation matches. And all the other modes favor interceptors due to mobility to capture beacons. Why removed from normal PVP the realistic mode? That was in my opinion the best pvp mode there was. It was just if the MM doesnt screw things up by not matching equal number of ships and skill tweaking.
Please, make the maps more variables, and the game modes aswell. And fix the ranks mixing please.
I’m signing this because It’s exactly, word for word, my expirience with Star Conflict for some time now.
Also, alot more matches than I would like these days - are very, very onesided. Its either you steamroll or get steamrolled. Out of 10 matches, 1 or maybe 2 are interesting, rest is starting to feel like a grind tbh. A bad kind of grind.
These issues should be a TOP PRIORITY for devs, becouse they draw this game back - hard.

Bears, whenever I see them. Never seen them fly any other Tackler, really…

They’re crap compared to the T3 but against T2 they’re op

Yes, I’ve seen raymaru in a Bear, and also other guys I don’t remember in Bear/Parallax
That squad i posted, some of the times there was a diferent ship in their line-up, a bear. I guess they change the ships from battle to battle.
And about T2, i never encountered ESB flying T3 against T2, what i found is 2000 rating average 4 man squad with full T3 premium hangars and prime gear smashing other ppl in T3 instead of being pushed up to T4 as other commoners are.

Oh trust me with Level 6 ships your normal runs are against Levels 7-9 and occasional 10 which means eventually a few TSB encounters !
I dont think it is fair me and my brother be put only against ppl who started T2, but also we shouldnt face experienced and well equipped R9 ships while flying T2. Same goes for T3, when we find 4-man squad farming T3 ppl with 2000 SR and possibly 8 or more win/loss ratio.

Funny fact: The “testers” and “super-testers” (I wonder if they have capes, or simply undercover GM rights and privileged access), are supposed to inform about irregularities in the game so the development team can fix them up ASAP , and the matchmaker is part of the game , but, as we all know, they are actually abusing those irregularities to obtain unfair adventages. What happens next? The same as always: Once everyone figure it out how the cheat is being done, and start to use it, it will be magically fixed in no time. My question is: Why don’t fix it in the first time? There are plenty of possibilities, and none of the possible explanations or refutations against those possibilties/theories/facts is barely decent, logical or mature, is all bs. The proof can be seen by anyone with the will to actually see.
It happened before with certain ships, also happened with certain modules, and now is happening with certain mm-calculations-abuse to be put in wrong queues and farm people, farm newb1es.
I wonder why they don’t change the testing team and put some responsible people instead? People that’s more interested in helping the game to be better instead of messing with the mechanics and screwing the fun for the others? But, then again, those uber-testers are the same people that said that " using suicide (so they can protect their “precious SR”, read with Golum’s voice) to give up a match isn’t unfair nor bad sportmanship and it doesn’t deserve any kind of reprisal", when we all know that if we do the same, we’ll be insta-banned… I say MEH.
Could anyone tell me how exactly the ESB guys are abusing the MM? I know the effects, (felt them to be more precise) but i dont know how they do it, to be put on lower queues.
Get into T3 matches during SecCon downtime and look closely at the ships they have. Those are 4-man squads they field. For all intents and purposes, they should be getting tossed into mid-T4, not end-T3.

Only mid T4? My queues say 9-12, why they shouldnt go that queue too…
I fly solo and the server puts me in the 8–11 queue. No way in hell they’re supposed to be in the same queue as me.
