Problem with the launcher

I had to uninstall the game cause i fucked up the patch process. I downloaded client from SC official page, then executed the “game.exe” file cause is the only one you can run (theres no installer). Games runs without need to update, however i dont have the launcher, meaning i always skip it, not knowing if my game needs to update, cant see the news and cant change language either. I downloaded the latest version of the launcher from another installation of SC (i have another partition where SC install is complete and correctly running), tried to install it but theres always the message: “You must run SC from Arc”, then the game starts loading and crashes before logging in.

 

Currently im using my other partition SC installation and a few times the launcher itself has updated, but no launcher folder has been created in the SC folder in this partition.

Any idea on how to fix the launcher?

Wipe it and reinstall. That’s all I got.

Also, do you run steam? It may or may not be interfering.

Now i have the same ARC issue… wth is going on?

try play via Steam

Go to installation folder, delete steam api and everything else thats not related to the launcher and game exe and also leave the folder, just delete the small stuff, start the launcher and let it redownload stuff, it should fix the arc problem.

I dont have steam (i had it once, then uninstall it for good…i hate it). Tried reinstalling SC like 3 times.

Yea pretty much that, if it didnt work, just add some more to the deleted stuff but keep the launcher so u can redownload via him.

It worked!!! you are a genious!! :DDD ty very much, it solved my problem.

For others: dont erase “htmlayout.dll”, because its necessary to start the launcher. A good advice is to send those files to the “can trash” and recover one of them if requested by the launcher.
