I’m new, just started playing yesterday, and enjoyed it so far - was looking into buying a premium account  (pay’n the monthly at least while I really enjoy it), as I support the games I enjoy, but this seems ridiculously too expensive…   Am I missing something here?  Here’s wut I know so you can fill in my blanks:

Premium time is real time - so a 1 day pass doesn’t last 24h of in-game, but only the time you’re able to put in that one day, so I wouldn’t get a 3 day pass till Friday, on the weekend I plan to play a lot  (definitely not over the week when I can only play 1-2 hours) - not a big deal except that it would cost me $15 for 1 weekend only?!?!  (10.5 + 4.5 buying standards)

 

monthly is where I loose my mind - the cheapest is 6months for 15,500 credits, so that would cost me:  $219.48  (99.99 + 99.99 + 10.50 + 4.5 + 4.5)   Holy freak’n crap?!

 

 

Is there a way I can get the premium benefits for about $10-15  a month?  or maybe a weekend here and there for closer to $5?  or a way to earn gold standard?!

so that is $6.58 per month with 100 left over standards if my math is correct

 

I have no idea where u got those prices from…

 

 

And yes, you can earn gold standards but they are only for end game corporations in sector conquest

where’s a standards pack?  I got my numbers from the ‘Get Standars’ in game:

 

oh… wait… I think i get it now…   both numbers are Gold Standard - ahh  ok,  White is the normal value and the gold number is a bonus?

I was assuming the white number was Credits and the yellow was the Gold Standard…   as they are indicated in-game…

Consider buying a dlc on sale (50% on steam sales), they give good bonuses and gs, and the pirate ones give some premium time too.

Wait untill the next sales, maybe on spring? Who knows. The game from time to time also offers discounts on license prizes, but they are random.

Also, buying ships, especially premium ones during discounts is a good idea.

Relax dude, it’s not EVE. You don’t need to pay annual fee for a play.

Premium account can be bought by 10 € every month if you don’t want to commit hard and buy 6 months or so.

 

Also, this is the only F2P game that I know where you can reach and maintain the top tier ships without premium, just playing PvE.

 

So it is not that bad.

 

In fact, premium is more about vouchers and synergy. Credits are not a problem.

I’ve yet to ever see the in game credit purchases be discounted, but DLC’s are.  Few players of any game pay full price.  With the holidays over, I have no clue when the next sale will be.  In any case, be patient, but stay active.  The sales can sometimes be short notice and short duration.

Steam DLC’s are few Euros cheaper than from Gaijin site.
