completely agree. make prefit packages for those who really need it.
it’s nice for a sneak peak buy of the next tier or a different kind of ship. so its not a useless feature. it’s just not for the majority.
in that move, also change “buy ship” to “buy license” or “license ship”, since people still ask all day if they can sell it, like they are really buying 1 ship.
I see no reason to ever use Mk I gear beyond your starting ship. The moment you’ve got a half decent Tier 1 vessel, you should always be looking to acquire Mk II at the absolute minimum.
But what I would like is greater clarity on where synergy comes from. I would like to be able to see what weapons and modules grant bonuses to the ship so I can make an informed choice on what ship to buy beyond “I think this one looks better”.
I think adjusting the required grind level of the game to maximize profit while still keeping the players around is pure mathematics. Those in charge of these decisions crunch numbers, and care less about the opinion of individuals.
But I might be wrong so….
+1
The ships got too expensive with the current money flow, and the built-in mk1 stuff is worthless.
(Though feel free to disregard me, as I’m just an F2P bum who wont, and most likely can’t spend cash on ones and zeroes.)
honestly what’s going to happen if I buy 3 interceptors? I get to have 3 copies of the same mk1 gear I stripped off them when I started playing them “for real”?
Say I already bought a t3 interceptor. I already have a full mk1 gear for a t3 interceptor in the warehouse. I can buy the ship stripped and outfit it for free because I have all the modules from the previous ship I bought.
Can I get a purchase discount for modules I already have from the previous ship?
I haven’t posted much, but this particular change bothers me a lot. This increased expense slows the acquisition of new ships substantially, which means not only do I have to grind more, which is not my idea of fun, but it will now take weeks for my friend to join me in tier 2… He was almost ready to join me, now he can’t even afford a single ship…
If the devs want to have the OPTION to buy a ship with pre-set items, great. But to force it upon us is ridiculous, and simply feels like an excuse to raise prices by a huge amount. Please, please, please , reduce prices to where they were.
I had enough money to buy a T3 ship pre-patch.
I now have half.
Aaaand the reputation slow down means I won’t be able to buy the faction I want by the time I get the extra million.
Its not the end of the world as I like playing the game anyway.
Forcing my to buy modules I don’t want takes a lot away from the game’s ship customisation fun.
I don’t mind “grinding” longer I enjoy the game.
I don’t want to be forced to buy stuff I don’t want.
This is especially ludicrous when you have loot drops that fill those slots and you’ll never use the default modules.
