Poll Frigate Balancing

If you think anything should be changed or keep it how it is for the healing modules for T2 engineer frigates. 

Exactly what (role) frigate, what module(s) are we talking about here? Don’t make a poll if you are gonna be vague as xxxx.

Buff LR please, give them some speed or shields, Engis have much more shield/hull than LR and they are also faster, 6 cannons and a LR module isnt enough to make them worthy… just my opinion I hope they get a buff, specially the Jericho ones, their torpedo is damn easily countered by the anti rocket module…

Engineers, in Tier 2 at least, need to have a higher healing range, but a lower healing rate.

Greatly depends on the Tier you are talking about.

 

Tier 1 Engi is rather different to Tier 2 engi just as much as it differs from the T3 one.

I believe i have it so it’s very clear on what i’m talking about now :) 

Was in a hurry when i typed it earlier. But i believe we should have more range added but the other variables stay somewhat the same. that way you are not in the middle of the fight in a frigate. 

The healing rate is fine, the healing range needs a slight buff to 3.2k for both modules.

Agreed. That way our frigates won’t so close. Sometime’s you get teams that will support frigates and do fine. but most of the time everybody is aiming at you and nobody is helping to defend the frigate. 

I fly mostly engy, and for some strange reason after the range nerf i like them even more. Maybe the range nerf by 1k was a bit to much, as of result the actual healing sphere volume got reduced more than 2 times. But it’s actually quite nice to be able to attack something, and see that it’s not regenerating back.   :yes_yes:

it was a significant range nerf. 4.5k on Mk 3’s went to 2.8k (1.7k nerf of radius).

Revert them back to how they used to be, and have their healing rate scale with ship size. Simple.

Revert the healing back to pre update #1, the frigates before .8 that were OP, they are suppose to fill roles, not be the only thing worth playing lol

The whole increase to energy consumption and range decrease were a pretty big kick in the ***. The reduction from 6-4 already felt like it was enough, I know I complained about energy drain missiles not doing much of anything to engies, but this just feels wrong.

 

I know way too many people who rarely play now who were dedicated healers, they stuck through even after the 6 to 4 and played more supportive or defensive, but the range reduction is frustrating as hell, I only use my engies in t2 now as a temporary healing buff to regen a few guys hull before spamming mines on a node, I know I’m gonna die first, and fast, so I might as well get the most out of my engie since I’ll be easily focused down the second combat rolls into range of the guys I was healing.

I agree. i was one of those dedicated healers, with a very good setup and all blue items but now they just feel worthless. my frigate get’s killed even easier now. So i will just stick to ECM and fighters i guess… hate them but if i can’t use my frigate because the “devs” broke it’s balance then i have no choice
