So does that mean if you have a number like 70  your getting 70% more synergy per PER ?

Apparently, yes. The higher the number, the bigger the bonus is. 

 

so as an example,  if you have 15% fleet strength, and you gain 1000 synergy on a ship, you will gain 150 bonus synergy. for a grand total of 1150 synergy. 

So does that mean if you have a number like 70  your getting 70% more synergy per PER ?

Synergy gains were not implemented this patch, they were already in the game since last patch, in the same time with synergy gain cap lift

The fleet bonus was introduced in 0.9.8 but we were only told about it in 0.9.9.  You’d have to compare your 0.9.7 synergy numbers.

 

Anyway, DSR is easily tankable.  I think I got mine dropped about 75 points in a few matches to help get more synergy friendly matches for a while.  Right now it’s at 1235, but I’ve barely played since Friday because of life.  The closest thing to knowing a pilots skill in game is their diversification of ships they’re comfortable flying, and how effective in that role.

When i want to compare my e-3.14159, i go to Medal tabs +Avg Kills per battle +Avg Assists per battle.

What about heal points, do those matter at all? I dont cap much, but im usually healing those who are, that or holding the beacon afterwards

What about changing Skill Rating for Average Efficiency? Instead of that xxxx DSR number the “Skill Rating” would show your average efficiency.

 

  • DSR whores would dissapear,

  • Ppl would do their best to do objetives, capture beacons, plant bombs, etc to get efficiency points, win games, and increase their new Skill Rating number.

  • (IMO) MM would be easier to balance, ppl with high efficiency vs an equally number of players with high efficiency, and both teams with an equal number of ppl with average efficiency and an equal number of ppl with low efficiency.

  • Roles like Engineer would be again taken by the players, because of the huge amount of assists engies get, ppl would care less about deaths and more about getting a lot of assists to increase their efficiency.

 

Am I a dreamer or this is actually a good idea? I would like to see DSR removed from the game and changed for something who actually tells if you’re good or not…

Until we get “proper” population ,average efficiency is very skewed number, Your final efficiency is affected by outside factors such as total game time, amount of people in the battle and, somewhat, the tier you fly in.

I prefer tenfold times your idea instead of the actual DSR/Skill Rating system.

I’ve thought about this as well.  It just needs to factor in the final rank of your team for finding your “skill.”  It is a good idea and shouldn’t be too difficult to implement.  The only thing is it’s not perfect and such a change should strive for perfection.

 

I would prefer to see a mix of efficiency scores and ship class, along with other factors not shown outside of the logs.  If you’re flying a guard, how do you rank among other guy pilots in DSR and time spent as “beacon defender” which is logged but not scored.  If you’re an engineer, are you healing and staying alive?  If you’re an ECM, are you using your debufs?  For any interceptor, are you capturing beacons?  If you’re a gunship, are you killing?  If you’re a command, are you buf assisting?  It would turn into nine scores instead of one, but then you can see if someone flying a guard and is actually good at it, or just got a high DSR from flying a recon and being able to GTFO.

the time you will spend to get 1 ship to elite is the same that you would’ve had spent to get the other ship you want to level 1% faster.

Yup, the game is a grind fest. I used to tell everyone to play with me of my friends, now im like “STAY AWAY!” 

I’ve always liked maxing all my ships. At least now it’s slightly easier for me. I currently have 77 of the 135 ships maxed out.

Ya it’s kind of nice being able to fly 1/2 as well and still get full credit =p

I have nine of the sixty ships I’ve bought at max synergy, ignoring premiums.  I might try my premiums again to get free synergy.
