Test SC League season is almost finished and we already know the eight teams that reached the finals. The last weekend of winter and the first weekend of spring will host the playoffs, where the names of the winners and the Grand Champion will be decided!

The first matchday is scheduled for February 27 and will start with games for participation quota in the lower grid. Teams random , kbaht c8eta , the rochi and rose will compete with each other in matches to first victory. The winners will proceed to the second round of the lower grid, where they will meet the losing pairs Adventure Time - bax and DNO - fars whose matches to two victories we’re going to see the same day.
February 28 is day of lower grid matches. We are going to see games of the second and third playoffs rounds. March 5 will host semi-finals games, while on March 6 we’re going learn the name of the first grand champion of the league, which will be determined in a tense confrontation in the ‘First to three victories’ format!

How can we not remind you of the prizes that are waiting for their heroes? In total there’s going to be nearly 700,000 Galactic Standards in prizes but this is not the main prize fund. Pilots who conquer the first place will receive a special title ‘Grand Champion’, a special champion colouring pattern, available only to the winners of this season, unique weapons and T-shirts with symbols of our gaming universe. Second place will receive the title ‘Champion’ and will have to do without the colouring pattern, and the third place with the unique title of ‘Master’ will get unique weapons, but no T-shirts or patterns. Each game of each round will be broadcast live and anyone will be able to see the recordings after the event. We took into account the experience of previous tournaments so the games of the Main Event will not run in parallel, which means you’ll be able to watch each one of them on  **YouTube or GoodGame**l. All broadcasts will have Russian commentary.

Only 3 days are left until the start of the Star Conflict League playoffs!

On February 27 the best teams in the game universe will begin to fight for the grand sporting prize of Star Conflict — the title of Grand Champion! The prize fund is almost 700 000 Galactic Standards, and the top three teams will receive unique prizes, so battles should get pretty heated!

Playoff matches are starting on Saturday with the following teams:

  • At 16:00 MSK RANDOM (Ukraine) — Kbant c8eta (Ukraine)
  • At 16:20 MSK THE ROCHI (Russia) — ROSE (Russia)
  • At 16:40 MSK ADVENTURE TIME (Russia) — BAX (Italy)
  • At 17:10 MSK DNO (Russia) — FARS (Russia)

*Matches can be started earlier or delayed, streaming is conducted in the format of ‘Follow by’.

Broadcast is conducted only in Russian.

RANDOM team captain — Triche shares her impressions of the playoffs opponents:

ADVENTURE TME (Team captain: Leto, Russia)
One of the strongest teams in the top eight, with excellent team play skills. However, they are not yet ready to destroyers like most of the teams. They urgently need to think on their setup since 3 destroyers is a very real possibility.

DNO (Team captain: mzelskii1987, Russia)
This team has the strongest Star Conflict pilots, but it’s often not a boon at all, as the strongest pilots tend to play alone. But I don’t think they should have any problems with starcore’s (FARS) team.

FARS (Team captain: starcore, Russia)
Were one of the first to build a destroyer, and therefore they had the most time for testing destroyer tactics. However, their main problem is the lack of mobility in the setup, which is why they manage to lose even to weak teams on beacons. But I think they will take their past mistakes into account.

BAX (Team captain: NERW, Italy)
They were quite strong, until they became a donor for ROSE and gave away 2 good damage dealers. However, in return they got pretty good interceptor pilots, who are bound to trouble the opponents. However, I doubt that they can defeat Leto’s team (Adventure Time).

THE ROCHI (Team captain: azverin, Russia)
This team was clearly very lucky, which helped them stay in the top eight. Often, all of their problems in battles are because of maneuverable interceptors that are very hard to hit without CC, or long-range ships (Flux Phaser + Gauss).

ROSE (Team captain: ShenaSky, Russia)
This team made a lot of effort to get into the top eight and has fairly dangerous pilots, but does it compensate for a lack of team play skills and experienced commanders?

KBANT CBETA (Team captain: LiSka, Ukraine)
At the start of Leagues they easily defeated even stronger teams on beacons, but the basic roster has been lost. Some left to join Leto (Adventure Time). Whether they have enough time to work out the composition of the new roster is unknown.

According to paragraphs 2.4, 8.2, 8.3, 8.4, 9.1 and 9.2 of the Rules of test SCL season playoffs, BAX team captain (NERW) is fined with a 20% prize deduction for violation of the numerical composition of his team in the match against THE ROCHI.

DNO — ‘Testing’ Grand Champion

The finals are over, and now we know who occupies three places of the podium and the fans who get 25 Galactic Standards. 11,000 pilots can not be wrong  — DNO under the command of mzhelskii1987, won in a heated battle with FARS, and everyone who voted is going to receive the rewards on their accounts at the beginning of the week.

Analysis of the final match is coming soon, but we can’t forget DNO’s path: having lost to FARS in the first round of the playoffs for the upper bracket, they fell into the lower bracket and no longer had the right to lose. They knocked out the team Triche (RANDOM) and faced the favourites of the bottom bracket — THE ROCHI under the command of azverin, but they had no problems there. In the semi-finals they had a tense match with the leaders of the automatic season, ADVENTURE TIME (captain Leto, Russia) and in a decent fight, DNO went through to the finals and got the opportunity to make up for reaching the bottom

bracket.

Losing a very hard for fourth map, on ‘Ruined station’ DNO took the decisive round and won on the home map, extremely uncomfortable for opponents. ‘All that matters is who selects a map’ - says one of the pilots from FARS - ‘they had more chances to choose a map’ The match was beautiful and if you missed it, we suggest you have a look.

Test season was very helpful and has defined the strategy for further development of Star Conflict Leagues. Do not forget about the ladder — the game is not over yet: quests are still running and team ratings can be improved. In the coming weeks we will announce the format of the first League season, but even now it is clear that in order to secure a place in the big leagues, you need to be as high as possible in the tables. Top teams from the leaderboard will be able to get to the big leagues with the start of the first season. And believe me, the bonuses this League provides are worth it.
