Plasma Arc = OP

Not really, its a small mark in a xyz axis. Its no op in T2 or 3.

300 range with a super agile ship, and a nearly stationary giant brick, I’m not sure what xyz axis that you mentioned was for. Most good CO pilots I meet don’t have trouble get PA on target more than 2 secs.

With inertia and top speeds of 250+, its not exactly an “easy target” to land for the full 3 seconds.

There are enough countermeasures that PA is not a problem too. Mines, close range weapons,  heck most frigates(excluding the LRF) have enough defensive abilities alone to just tank it head on. Not to mention the simple fact that frigates are supports-class, so they should always have teamates on them to help out.

I mean you are complaining about what is basically a suicide mission, PA isn’t anywhere near overpowered.

Mines have to be calculated carefully before use, you don’t have many of them, I mostly use them for strategic use, or when there are more than 2 ships close to me and the situation needs it. PA is free with acceptable cool down, and if you are dead, you have it again.

in T3, frigates get covered. In T2, in most cases, they are not, and as mentioned many times before, in T2, frigates in general have low surviability, and except a guard with full thermal resist, the rest will die quickly when take a full PA to their butts.
