The pirate packs are now available on Steam.
Many people asked for this, and it was repeatedly stated that this was in the works already - now it’s finally here.
It’s also nice to see the price point dropped, at least in British Pounds (£).

Still overpriced, especially now that premium ships have lost a lot of their value.

But the point still stands. There’s currently no point in purchasing any of this…
Right now I want to buy (a) pirate pack(s) but I don’t know what the patch of tomorrow might hold, and it’s making it hard for me to decide whether I want to spend it now or wait another 4 or so days…

Do not, under any circumstances, buy the cheapest one. The Joker was terrible in 0.8.x, and is now utterly devoid of value. I regret ever purchasing it now.

Let’s see what they change for those that actually put money in to support the game with this coming patch. Premium Ships have lost their value as JasanQuinn has pointed out. I’m currently sitting on around 800,000 saved Synergy on my premium ships. It says it will cost me 5000 GS to convert to free Synergy. So if I bought one of these packs:
A) I would have to spend half the GS you give me in one of these packs just to convert that saved Synergy
B) Would not use any of the Premium Ships in these packages, because the other half of the Gold would go to converting that free Synergy I would earn
You basically made investing in you guys pointless. I really just don’t understand anything from your perspective. If you want people to put money in to this game continually, you are going about it entirely wrong. Charging me to level ships? How about you release small packages every 1-2 months that include a new ship and some Gold Standards and have a low price point that everyone can think about putting money in to.
So if you are reading this and considering buying anything? DO NOT DO IT!!! If they fix the premium ships so that they actually have value and either let them convert Synergy for free or use a credit based system instead of the Gold, then they might actually have value. However, repeat, DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY!
And which one gives the “Space wolf” title ? This is the one I am most interested in.
I love “Star wolves” game and this game gives me the closest experience to that. So a “Space wolf” Mapoko will be really nice ^^

i bought about 2 weaks ago the pirate dlc pack from the store (not steam) for both my accounts , but still they are not active in game …is it normal so?

p.s. other pirate, like corsair and jolly roger dlc bought throught steam will be active immediately or is like when bought from the store ?
Please make sure your Gaijin and Game accounts are “linked”.
In addition, if you purchased the dlc outside Steam, rightclick the game in your library, properties, launch parameters and add the following;
-nosteam
If after this, you still have issues, you will have to contact support.

Id b suprised if them made t5 prems ever, seems like it would really mess with the game. The best comparison i can really offer is WoT, they only go to tier 8 (out of 10) for their premiums. Assuming SC is goin to possibly (read:hopefully) get some ‘end game’ content for t5 it would really mess with it to hav t5 premium ships involved. OFC that all depends where they go with it.
I should think that now t5 is out they will make some packs with t4 prems, after all we already hav t4 prems in the game anyway.
