I unlocked the “Premium shop or resources of choice” stage.

Did not immediately choose the ship, couldn’t decide, so wanted to do some research and then choose.

After buying a tech-line ship (Ira Deus) for credits, free premium ship option is gone even though I did not choose any premium ship yet (wanted to choose Rockwell).

Restarting the game did not help.

There is absolutely no in game indication of this.
Gaijin linked me a news article where it says that it is timed, and said tough luck.
I paid to get this reward, received no in game information about it being timed, and now lost it because I didn’t read a news article.
That makes zero sense and is beyond shady from Gaijin side.
If they really wanted to to make it time dependent it must be clearly stated in game or when you are paying for the license (it is neither of those). If I contacted German consumer protection services there is no way this would fly.
Detaching such important information in some article is just anti-consumer practice (if we catch some poor sucker, great, more money we get to keep).
It has been this way in every battlepass event thus far, and you were notified about the limitation. (this part seemed harsh so I removed it)
You have two courses of action now:
1: Accept your losses and move on.
2: Contact support like I said and see if they can hook you up.
Wouldn’t know how it was thus far, since it is my first event in this game. I remember something about the event popping up a few weeks, or a week ago, but since I didn’t own and wasn’t planning on buying the pass at the time, I did not waste time reading it. I decided to buy the pass two days ago when I saw that I reached both the free xp and free ship stages. One more reason why it is dumb to not put such crucial info in the game directly.
I contacted them and received the finger, so I will act accordingly and go exclusively f2p from now on.
As just some guy, I feel like support should really cut this person a break. It doesn’t actually cost Gaijin anything and makes a paying customer happy. It seems like an easy mistake to make, probably because purchasing the deluxe pass would mean unlocking a crap load of things at once, considering it was a big enough issue to need a specific blurb .
The goal is to retain the people who want to give you money, not alienate them.
Well support used to be able to help with these issues. Now sure what’s changed. Probably feel like they don’t need to any more since players were warned about this.

Exactly. And I would have been a paying customer. As a working dad of baby twins, that leaves his PC on with the game running, just to be able to get a match in when I catch some time (and I think this game is really good and has potential), I would have spent money to speed up the grind or just get some stuff that I like to support the developers. I did that with Warframe for years (not for the grind, just to support the devs), and never regretted it. But reaction from Gaijin to this situation made sure that wont happen.
Regardless of what conditions applied if you took his money he should have received what was paid for. Otherwise it is theft.
