“Any more” is a more universally accepted phrase compared to “anymore”, but both are perfectly valid English. It’s really up to the writer (in this case, the editor, I guess) to decide which one to go with.
On the other hand, comma splices are the bane of editors everywhere. Especially since there’s so few people out there who know how to properly use an interjection in written English.
