I’d just be happy if I didn’t have to grind through a billion useless federation lrf to get the tankiest engie. What’s really annoying is that the off-racial engie is tankier, meaning it’s more effective at its job most of the time. I don’t really care if my giat floating “kill me first” ship is slightly faster. It’s not going to outrun anything except a dumb empire lrf, and I’ve already got walls to troll those off my back.
Empire’s not bad, it’s just that LRF line… Gunship/command combo is better than anything/tacker. I don’t want to play two weeks of Empire LRF to get into the Empire engineer line… Yesterday I got the Grizzly finally, but that Empire engineer is what I’d prefer.
I love how this is turning to a crap storm. I give up. Actually, next time I see another winy post like this. I will write down the posters name, and follow him, and destroy him in game. Simple. Effective. And satisfying

I tried mentoring by shoing a video, thanks to kine and Mr. Twiddlez the effects that LRF are not OP. Sure in some situations and in some squads or skilled pilots hands they are damn near OP. But come on, really to “remove” them from the game is a bit excessive dont you think?
And besides, its a ghost town in T4/5. Even JP feels the need to occasionally Curbstomp from time to time.
Here’s what I find confounding: LRF is the dps class of the frigates. Its sole purpose is to kill. It trades mobility for more power, has no support modules other than a debuff that can ruin someone if they chose the wrong time to go all-in, and being a frigate, its also more durable than the interceptor and fighter counterparts (which trade durability for mobility). As an experienced and well-trained interceptor pilot would be proficient at being mobile and lethal, a good LRF pilot will be proficient at being lethal and providing unseen pressure onto the enemy team. Every ship in the right scenario and in the right hands are capable of producing terrific results. With that said, why can’t people just learn to adapt and fit their ships against what they don’t like to be hit with the most instead of gripe?
I’m actually happy to see more LRF out on the field; the more the enemy team has on their side, the more theoretical damage they bring to the table, at the cost of mobility and utility, which if their pilots aren’t very good at lrf *cough* then it only hurts their team rather than help.

The Goonion relishes in f***ing you in the xxxx all day long, as long as it’s in-game. If you piss them off or they’re bored with you, they will relentlessly chase you down, shoot you, kill you and then repeat the process until you eventually quit the game.
JP → hint: Eve alliance
The Goons are everywhere. And I do mean EVERYWHERE.

Professional xxxx trolls? Is that what they are? If they want to come after me, they come after NASA then. All for one and one for ALL!
Yea, i’m used to trolling them and then sending them into oblivion
Trolled em more than once in Eve with great success! When i see [GOON] i can’t hold myself from making them feel terrible.
Mentioned Eve cuz that’s where they started IIRC? Or at least that’s where i met them the first time.
I like the sensor/surveillance contribution idea as a module. By all means, give us more variety like that. However, I’d personally stay away from player buffs - that’s the mechanic’s job (aka Engineer in this game despite the fact that engineers breach and lay mines in the real world - but that’s an aside).
Plus, the only thing worse than having several people on your playing LRF in beacon hunt is several people playing LRF, with inties/fighters hanging back to defend them. We don’t want to give people even more reason to hang back at at the spawn point.
I’ll third the suggestion for asensor/surveillance role (that’s one of the jobs real snipers do). Another idea might be some sort of “target designation” module that puts some sort of debuff on the target (e.g. prevent them cloaking, and keep them visible even if outside sensor range).
I also support some wayof making them more mobile - e.g. giving them speed more like an engie, or a speed-boost module. Or maybe just a stealth module that does’t cancel when them move (or at least has a much shorter cooldown).
Another idea might be to give them a main-weapon range boost, so they still act as “long range” fire-support even when not using their F mode.
