Now there could be people that don’t think it as that big of a deal (that should have been done, and must be done as priority in next patch), so they vote NO, while they think it would be good fix still.
My opinion is that it should be done. But I see no reason to remove the connection to the Phobos. It can be removed, if important balance reasons require that, but if not, I would keep it.
I’m gonna abstain from this. Yes, I want the Empire Engies to progress like that but, at the same time, no, because it’ll spawn A LOT MORE T5 rushers…

I am sure there are, but this is the biggest one I see. 6 LRF to get your first Engi is borderline smack in the face.

The problem with a too linear tree… it becomes boring… I know I’ve always been a zealot defending the linear tree… but that’d be exceedingly boring… The current tree, as it is, just needs a few tweaks to work, unlike revamping the whole thing.

It needs a complete revamp into residente´s system because logic.
Why is there no empire R9 gunship while they are the primary race for gunships etc.

So did my tree. And even I, after all this time, noticed it’s too dull, too linear… too… boring… It just is.
t4 and 5 are linear, and they are not boring
The problem with tier 3 is the huge difference between rank 8 and 9, rank 8 has 7 modules and rank 8 has 8, also the rank 9 implants are very good, the three of them.
But the biggest problem is that we don’t even have rank 8 gunship, its a damn rank 7 with 3 stupid active modules, we have to pay if we want t3 gunship with 4 active modules.
Same with federation, rank 7 tackler, not even 8, that’s bullshit, and boring, more boring than my suggestion, because it makes sense, primary role = top rank, secondary role = near to top rank if no top (see Ira Deus, rank 9 LRF, why the xxxx I need xxxx Crus A if I have already rank 9 Ira Deus, in fact, Ira Deus has +1 hull -1 capacitor, what makes it way better than Crus A).
If that progression were possible, there would be one more working engineer in T2 and once I’m done with some T2 interceptors, one less LRF in T3.
Why the hell Styx have module strenght bonus? Engis are fed primary class do 'conda should heal better imho.
But that energy reduction improves afterburning and feds are known for speed.
IMHO, ship bonuses are screwy.
Screwy or not, 120 healing instead of 100 is better. Energy reduction mean nothing if you have energy module.
