Greetings. Today was announced list of changes that will be put to test server and then with a big chance those changes will be moved to game itself. Among all the changes there is one change, that awoke an incomprehension in myself:
Ion emitter
Removed from esports mode
At first, this change implies a hige restriction on a versatility of gunships. Ion emitter is the most efficient tool against frigates, mentioning that frigates also received a couple of buffs in the same list of changes.
Second, there were no changes offered about Ion emitter for a very long period of time. That means that Ion emitter as well as other gunship esports weapons are well balanced.
Third, this change will affect not only Portals mode, but also an upcoming tournaments, considering the fact that tournament rules use only esports modules most of time.
For the sake of preventing this change from leaving the test server, with this post I am creating a petition against removing ion emitter from esports mode.
