The zone ‘Iridium Stream’ keeps many secrets. It holds a massive high-quality Iridium mining operation, which is one of the most important resources in the galaxy, but among the asteroids and mining stations, hide the ruins of ancient civilizations.Massive shields connected with a strange energy shield were definitely built for protection, and the strange obelisks of unknown material still emit energy. Mysteries held by these ruins attract scientists from all over the galaxy.Occasional fights for the right to control Iridium deposits between sides of conflict break out from time to time.Aliens are also very active in the systems. Frequent battles with Alien ships wear out the human forces. The Aliens may be preparing ground for a full-scale invasion of the system. What made them so curious about the ruins? So far, the human fleets are holding the line. But will it last?
I have a love/hate relationship with that map… Recon battles there are just ridiculous. They can be the easiest thing in the game or the hardest because of the gates…

Yeah the lack of cover except in the middle of the map is what get’s me. It’s sniper’s paradise. They should put more asteroids in the middle.
I think it would also be more interesting if combat recon were played in the other direction, i.e. the spawns were the same as for beacon hunt.

No, that’d be worse, actually. Relying on the gates to even move is the worst. Besides, you have no cover ANYWHERE in that map. except around the energy generators and the rock formations in the middle. An Empire LRF at the top of the map and a Jericho LRF hiding behind a rock is still the best combo to flush out everything for the murder.
