Well I just want to say goodbye to all of my friends ingame. It was a nice fun run for a while but it’s not anymore. I deleted the game & have no intention af reinstaling it any more… So 1 last hoot to U all. GOODBYE!
Yeah I kinda dwindled out of playing also. Haven’t logged on for a week or so, there’s just nothing interesting me now destroyers are unavoidable in pvp and I can’t squad up for anything. The grind wall for new ships is ridiculous so even aiming for the new content is not a valid objective. Oh well, I had great fun with everyone, keep in touch on FB or steam or whatever. I’ll get round to downloading whatever games you are all playing at some point, I’m just rather busy atm.

OWLS are everywhere. We are not only play one game, we never did that even the StarConflict was our main game for more than 2 years. Before StarConflict we already played DayZ, Arma2, StarCraft 4example. If you wanna play together just come to TS and check what are we playing atm. If you have any game suggestions we are also open for that. Don’t stop hooting
I also stopped playing SC for the same reasons as you and many others. No teamplay, no play, and no fun for me. I’m logging in 1-2 times a week, play maybe 1-2 round to see whats going on. If they ever make me the game enjoyable again I’ll come back, if they won’t I’ll play like this till they get a proper competitor :)

So anyone still active in this corp? Anything new ingame?
I still get on every now and then and do the weekend tournaments with whoever is on or with NASA. I don’t think anyone from OWL is actively recruiting new people to the corp, so when we play, we just play with those that get on TS and decide “let’s play Star Conflict” instead of some other game (lot’s of us are playing Rocket League now, but I don’t have it)
New thing is four man squads are back in, which is great; but it is still impossible to find a match since you can’t see when other squads queue up. Two-man squads get insta-games though mostly. Squads are back to being anonymous also!
There are some summer missions to get alien weapons and modules, but if you missed the start then you can’t do them. (Each next mission requires you to use the previous reward). I missed one in the middle so I can’t do them anymore.
Player base dropped for the summer as usual, but you still get insta games thanks to the join-in-progress system. The matches are quite big also outside of US TZ.
Sector conquest is still boring (no map variety, long forming up times, only one or two possible tactics, small rewards…) so we don’t do it.
Invasion is still boring and they reduced the number of red systems. There is a total rework planned long term though. No other details, but I hope it’s more PVP focussed!!
There are several new maps which look really good and I enjoy a lot!
They are reworking some of the ships one by one, giving them special modules, for example reaper and phoenix, karud and several others… I think the plan is give all the ships, even non-premium, special functions like this.
Still no sign of t5 destros (thank god!!) but the rank 11 ones are still OP with massive tank and the broken gravi generator. This is diminished somewhat by bigger games meaning they receive more damage and die more quickly. But this means people are just using them as snipers with horizons modules in CPU and the EM weapon. They sit even behind the engies now, rarely taking any risks.
League is still primarily Russian corps dominating, and we don’t do it due to it being very restricted on how teams are made. Also too much of a pain to organise. Several OWL members moved to Russian corps like DESU in order to get in on the more competitive gameplay.
Profanity filter is now compulsory, and blocks words such as “sniper” (because it contains “nip”) and other really funny things. Also if you swear to someone in a PM, they get the notification and not you, which allows for some fun trolling but is obviously a bug. I have asked several times for them to remove the filter, at least in corp chat and PMs, but it seems that we have 4 year olds playing that need to be protected, unlike EVERY SINGLE OTHER MMO OUT THERE WHICH HAVE NO STUPID FILTERS.
Not sure when you stopped playing? But you can now rebuild your special project ships also and change the F module. And parts don’t depend on which module layout you want. I think this was changed a while ago though

Oh also this forum kinda died out. It got to the point where only kosty’s and a few other people’s posts are actually worth reading, the rest are just pointless. Not funny, not interesting, not providing good arguments or reasoning, not using funny memes and gifs to at least provide some entertainment…
I see there is no real point in coming back, if some OWL’s left for DESU & a lot of old OWL members are not active the game is no fun for me. I deleted SC & see there is not much point in reinstalling it… Maybe one day I will…
Me, G4b, Mill, Raven and few more are on quite regularly. Oreg is on summer vacation but still here, Gizmo wuold like to come back but have no will to do so atm. The only long time missing in action from old core group is Entersprite.
Yes we are not actively recruiting anymore (atm, at least), and maybe we have plans for a new SC league team. But August is not the right time to intensively gaming purpose.

I never left the game, but of course, with many people being so deeply disappointed in the last few years of the game’s development not improving (not that I don’t think, the game has not improved in certain ways, but you know, it is more about the “mindset” of how stuff is done, overall it never really tries to exceed in anything, and basicly whoever does these decisions, should think about retirement three years ago), I think it has reached the point, where we can safely assume, investing too much time in a guild/corporation just for this game won’t work, and we respect that some just wanna play something else, anything else really.
It is kinda sad, since the game is still one of my favourite PvP games ever. Also, if a part of owl keeps playing actively SC also more hardcore, I will do whatever you need to make it work.
I would not say, nobody plays, as some of us, like Sponge or me, are mostly always up for SC, so is Oreg sometimes. Basicly, anyone who always played the game also solo, if nobody was around, still plays solo, if nobody is around 
But. Since the game lost most of the bigger international corps, it also lost a lot of flair to go for sunday tourneys, and only to be the “current cool thing” to be in OWL is not what I want our corp to be anyway. I would play sunday tourney if we can make a team, I miss the good old T3s.
Leagues i find is only interesting for the more coward playstyles, to be honest, way too small for some ship classes to be important, it’s not on my prio list. For me real skill is to be influential in pub games.
Until there is no way, to replenish vets, with newer interested players, and the game keeps adding grinds and carrots at the end of the line, without concentrating on becoming a really pvp oriented game with a bit of a faster progression and better reward systems, I dont see much future anyway, no matter if there are Destros in T5 or not. Especially since they introduced RNG without flat priced resources lately, I think it’s safe to say, we are on the road to the end here.
