What should I do If I’m the CEO of HOWL and VP in OWL. The main acc is in OWL but as CEO I should be able to write on my OWN HOWL corp forum thread too. Because I PAID for it. The HOWL is almost 100 pilots. I’m also one of the leading guy int he Hungarian community…

Guys, you gotta understand, the censoring of all Corporation Threads got over the roof. People were spamming corp threads, so it was introduced, to use the section below the corpthreads to be the “talk” one, but from there on, corp threads are only supposed to be written to by members.
Imho, this was bad decision for the forum community as a whole. Some corporation threads were main burning points of discussion and fun, and high activity on the forums, actually, the NASA thread was the main thing which got me hooked to the forum as a whole; but instead of moving to the new prepared section completely, basicly all that happened is, that many of the posters stopped visiting the forums over time after the change, and overall it got just a lot quieter. well at the same time, the problem back then, which was mainly some corps being angry about each other, was stopped, but it might have stopped on its own anyway.
You cannot just “create” a thread for every discussion, sometimes the discussion is only alive as long as it has focus. This is why artificially creating a thread, which resembles an ongoing discussion, like the patch threads, will not work, as do threads in the section below never catch that vibe, that some corp threads had.
As “manager” of a corporation, I did not really had the choice whether I agree that my own “corporation thread” will be heavily moderated if people are allowed to put on stuff. on the other hand, we also encountered some spam here, which was really not that positive as experience.
Still, half a year later, I feel like it’s time I put it in writing, coz it nags me, and not only me, I guess, a lot of people. so consider this a little nag, nobody can answer to, except he is in my corp. Join us to reply. You see all this deep thoughts only to put in some recruitment. Clever, isn’t it. Feel brainwashed, so let’s continue my nagging.
It did actually obviously not reduce the need for moderation, or the additional work, but it did stop the spamming of corp threads with useless information a bit maybe. However it also reduced overall interest in the forums for many who just loved to visit patch thread, and the funniest or more interesting corp threads, like NASA or Wolfpack back then.
But I seriously doubt, the benefits of this new ruleset measure well compared the actual negative effects it had or has.
Still, even if I personally find this whole thing rather sad, well, things are like they are.
It is one of the forum rules I would gladly see reverted, because I think, this was a great little thing for community building.
But we can always try. So go down by one section, search for the NA$A-Owliance (or whatever! I don’t really care? I just read all that stuff and nag about other stuff, I ain’t funny. Don’t laugh, it’s not a joke. I am serious. This is my serious alphabet.) thread and put something in there. There people can post freely. I know, it’s not the same. I know. It will get better, there, there.
So you are not lazy to type all of this, but you are lazy enough not to give a link to that nasaawliance magical place you speak off???!!!1

I completely agree with you g4b and I have already expressed this to several people in the past. It seems nothing will be changed though.
