When I was doing missions in open space I realized that missions get done too fast. Then I found out why: In the mission to kill 5 scouts I started shooting at a group of three aliens and damaged them all. Then after killing one of them I got 3 kills instead of 1 on the counter. So it looks like the number of damaged ships is counted as kills each time a ship is destroyed for the missions. I hope my description is clear enough and logs are not necessary.

When I am doing open space missions where I have to kill any number of cybers (and pirates) the kill counter does not work properly. It seems to count damage dealt to other ships as kill each time a ship goes down.

I killed one cyber ship and expected to get one kill on the counter of my progress. Instead I have completed a mission of killing 4 cybers with 2 kills.

Normal. Server worked fine. It was a regular ‘blue’ open space mission.

I used a T5 tackler with heavy guard drone and sentry drone. I was alone on the map. I was not in a squad/group.

Daily. Not sure if it happens with every mission of this kind.

Note: I think tackler drones have something to do with this issue. When I don’t use them the counter works fine adding one kill for each ship destroyed.
Another mission in Base ‘Ellydium’ to kill 5 pirates. First I chose a small group of 2 pirate ships far from everything else to make sure no one and nothing could interfere. I locked on, deployed both of my drones and destroyed one of the pirates. The counter jumped to 2 instead of 1. Then I destroyed the other ship and the counter went up to 4. Lastly, I finished the mission by destroying another pirate. I still think that drones are counted as ships and the damage they deal count for one kill and another kill goes to my ship itself.
