I recommend you use something of very high resolution, because image will be scaled down by forum to fit into borders for each user, depending on their hardware (screen resolution). For example i have 1920x1200 on this machine, but i often use a laptop with 1366x768, so images that are above 1920 would look border to border on both machines to me.
The image is 1600x1173 pixels in size and my laptop’s max resolution is 1600x900. I think it has got to do something with limitations within the topic itself because in some my uploads are seen in big while in others large pictures are small.
use centered and maybe add a fading border e.g. to increase the illusion of a full picture; or use a table to align all text underneath to the picture; while at the same time, use direct links in the image to add them?
