Open PvP Queue only Domination?

Hi,

 

may be a newb question but I’ve been searching for it in patch logs and some other places and didn’t find anything about it.

So there are 5 different gamemodes (Capture the Beacon, Domination, Combat Recon, Detonation, Beacon Hunt) but out of them only one (Domination) shows in the open PvP Queue. When did this change? I know for sure that in March 2013 this wasn’t the case. Watched a video dated 10th March 2013 (Pietsmiet Trashnight for the German users) recently that won me for this game. Enjoying it, have much fun playing even PvP as it’s the first game where I’m like competitive atleast T1. However playing Domination all the time is a bit dull, having a random pick for the gamemode would really spice things up. Right now the other gamemodes don’t exist for other players, if I hadn’t watched the vid I probably wouldn’t know that other PvP-modes exist.

EDIT: Apparently a certain word for newbie is replaced with ace. Kinda funny but at the same time is totally wrong, I’m not an ace :wink:

T1 has only Domination. T2+ has also Beacon Hunt, Combat Recon and Detonation. T3+ has also Capture the Beacon

Ah, that’s what I’ve been missing. Didn’t find anything about it. Thx for the answer, so need to go to T2 kinda soon ^^

Not too steer to far from the original question but why is it that we have empire LRF (sniper) at Level 3 but we do not have a Jericho (torpedo) until level 6 ?

 

So T1 folks can be shot at by the long range sniper but don’t feel annoyance of feeling the rain of torpedoes until T2 ?

For the same reason empire only gets their engineer at rank 6 - they are not their faction’s core roles. But this is really completely off-topic for this thread (which can be closed I guess since the OP has been answered).

As Snib said, it’s because Empire’s first role is LRF, and Jericho have the Guards.
