This is the beauty of this game. People can fly totally different configurations and still be effective.

Lazy Man Guard.
I always hated those fits. Even when I flew Guards 24/7. Hence why I said that. I never walk around with my Phase set to any resist. Swapping it around to adapt to what they’re shooting at you is always the best solution, imo.
Singularities hate me. Lasers hate me. Sorta. And Rails just scratch the surface. Yet, the best counter I’ve found for any T3 Guard is still the Rail Nukem. The Blood Tor is no exception. I stand by my point. Lazy Guards aren’t Guards.

Point is that even when you have 2x Thermals+1x Kinetic build (using a PS to fill EM hole) you still do the same thing, judging by situation you gonna use your PS for a biggest incoming threat and to get DMG boost here and there. It is no different from even resist build and PS on top of them, because in a chaos at the beacon with lots of different incoming dmg sources both build act the same way - you arent gonna protect yourself from all 3 dmg types in the same time with a phase shield.

Of course not, you’re gonna protect yourself from the biggest damage-dealers and have the Engineers and teh rest of your team back you up. You’re not flying in a Beacon on your own, that’s suicide.
What exactly are your builds for the Styx? You listed yours but what are the stats on that?

Try a 3 Missile Pylon + Cruise Missile build. It’s fun. Trust me. :fed006: Don’t forget the Enhanced Scanners.
