Old player checking in - old gameplay videos, current gameplay comparison

God old game footage. I remeber flying my interceptor into enemy lines and if i got target by 4 or more people, just (ase shift) and stear in a circle up in the air and watch everyone on the enemy team try and fail to hit u. If they shot a missle (button) for my flares not today. Mean while i wonder how long are they going to try and kill me befor they reliaze that their is still an enemy team.

Sometimes games would go down like that. Sometiems it wouldnt and id acutally get to fly around and pretty much be ignored or get in dog fights. But that Demios 2 damn that was the my kriptonight.

Like u said alot of problems, but ten times better then the watered down product of today.

Lets see. One type of missles only that reload ewwww

limited everything

speed cap

AMMO TYPES OMG those where so fun.

mixed teirs bleh!!! (I mean i can understand that they would want to give the top of the tiers some preditors too. butBUT why do the bottom of the teirs have to suffer from the same preditors. Why

Oh wait but let me guess all these changes where what the player base wanted right >>>

I always assumed fixed tiers were there to protect from “predators”, as you put it. You might have a tech disadvantage at first, but for mos of your matches it would be skill, not hardware, that dictated who won.

Now the Devs want hardware, not skill, to be the deciding factor. They want a no-holds-barred mode where T5 get farming rights so “skill” will decide which corp is best, yet they’ve spent three months nerfing squads, corps and teamwork through the floor.

Someone clearly ran out of vodka and started on the turpentine.

Your right deftinatally right. with fixed teirs when u start out u did have a fighting chance. but what happened. Players complained about players who went in t2 and just flew at top of teir with their leet ships and pwned face. But those players pwned face becasue they had already reached the top of the teir and knew what was what.

True, but with fixed tiers in, let’s say, T3, you’ll be facing R9 ships fully fitted with your newly adquired R7, but in time you’ll reach R9, fit them up, and bring the fight to equal grounds, having that beautiful sense of accomplishment, and being able to play that ship and enjoy it until you decide to jump up to T4 and start the same thing again.

Now you get your shiny R7, get matched against fully fitted and synergized R9 and R10, and by the time you reach R9, you’ll be facing R11 and R12, and when you jump to T4 and reach R12 you’ll be put against T5 R15 death-squads… So, I kinda prefer the locked tier options, it doesn’t force you to ALWAYS be the underdog suffering like a xxxxx to get to the same place as your enemies. Let’s not even use an example someone playing in squad, because that will be hell in earth, using their shiny R7 in a 3 newb1es squad and facing T4 or T5.

The actual system promotes not learning how to fly or fit a ship, promotes not fighting with a squad, not learning how to be efficient in a team, it promotes nothing positive at all… Oh, wait, it does promotes something: Tier-Rushing.

This is accurate of the experience of fixed tiers. I hated to see it go.

Yeap its a constant death fest.

all Because of this concept of.

Oh well … well … what we devs had invisioned was a world where ships of mixed teirs would fight it out and the big dogs would be considerd major boss level threats and would lead all the little fish (with out any kind of chat feature or comprehisive feature to give orders what so ever the must be the strong and silent type…) and the the little fish on the other team would RISE up and organize (with out comms) a currucial strike on that one big fish (in a match where TEAM MATES of big fish could be doing other things blowin up ur engi blowin up ur station what a waste of time, and and for what for the big fish to jsut go though the SAME EXACT RESPAWN TIMER AS THE SMALL FISH THINK OF IT, you devs must be eatting them funny mushrooms if u think this idea was ever a good idea especialy what max size 24 players i dont remeber but it aint alot, this isnt eve you have said that u are nto trying to make eve then why even dream of the small fishises riseing up again a t5 death squad NO!!!)

And the the magical little fairy tale land the devs heads are in where a bunch of Machete aes and Daggers lead by a Katana destory a enemy team with T5s on it would be reached.

YEAH RIGHT.

(i dont remebere where i read something like that from the team here but its on this forums somewhere them saying that)
