Oh My F.... God look at this MAP!

guys Im making an account in war thunder just to pay this map, its freaking amazing, if anybody plays WT let me know so we can squad up

Dude, that looks amazing.

I play War Thunder, as do some of the OWLs, we’re T1/T2 right now

Epic. I would be glad to see something like this in SC.

I am thinking of taking a look at WT after seeing this video. My time management is about to collapse.

This whole thing just doesn’t go out of my head. I am totally captivated. How insanely big that map is. And the clouds. Imagine that in SC, flying into the stardust-clouds. All those possible light effects. Flying between invisible structures, hidden enemy. If I have to beg then so be it. Pretty please. ,O.O,

That looks really neat.

Having something like this (flying around in a gigantic abandoned supercity) in SC would be indeed an awesome idea.

It’s not the size that amazes me (in that regard, I rather fly a round around Chernarus or Altis), but rather the design of huge skycrapers, especially since they look so unearthly.

I tried WT again this year and quite enjoyed it, yeah, but not in the way I enjoy SC, I would never get as religious about it; but it was a big surprise how the game feels nowadays.

WT has indeed improved itself. It feels very finished, and it’s not that hard to fly; it’s not quite as hardcore tactical as SC maybe, but that’s a good thing if you want to go a bit easy, I don’t think you risk “swapping games” if you try it, it feels like the “well lets just spitfire a bit in the great war!”, and should come easy to anyone who has experience with flight sims, and you basicly are doing good as long as you use the right plane for the right objective. Also using SC account gives you some premium stuff.

…indeed…

“about WT”

I have never tried WT, but from trailers it seems like “to simple” after SC, kinda

WT is harder to play than SC to be honest, diffrent control… Still a nice game tho.

Two things: gravity, and… trees. They got the better of me when I first tried WT. It’s been a while though, I should probably try it again.

DO EET! I know me, oregyen, roger, sponge, and twisted are enjoying it as a side-game. We don’t spend too much time in it, but it’s a nice distraction from some of the sh*ttier sides of SC.

On the topic of the thread, I downloaded the map, and all I have to say is: HOLY MOTHER OF F***. It is really cool, if only you could do multiplayer on it, as it would make for some really intense dogfights.

In arcade mode is pretty easy, you just need some practice. Never tried the Sim battles or stuffs like that, that would be tricky.

I will play WT the day they get a decent joystick support. Flying planes with mouse and keyboard is not for me thanks.

Spaceships on the other hand, since you have 6 dof it s much better to play with mouse and KB. In fact, I’m playing Star Citizen with joystick only for the inmersion. Gameplay wise, I would be much more effective playing with m+K, since I have rebinded the keys like in star conflict, and I have all the muscle memory working 100% from one game to the other.

On topic: The maps looks good.

Might be, if you have never flown aircrafts (in flying sims) - but generally, flying in SC has no limitations through gravity, air density, g-forces, or things-which-break-the-plane, and you even have complete inertial dampening, leaving the “flying” part completely up to your imagination. I find that personally harder to master, and also much more demanding (e.g. a ceptor dogfight). Planes, once you know about them, are fairly easy to fly - of course, that includes, that once you do a mistake, you crash, and unlike in SC that’s a fatal thing. But that doesn’t really make it harder, since you also have less choices at any given moment, and you can relate to “knowledge” of the real world how pilots do stuff.

It should make click at some given moment, and then it feels natural. Many pilots in WW2 had only a crash course of half an hour, before they went into the air after all…

Also, in arcade mode, you have as good as no problems flying planes, since they don’t just break by wrong handling, well except if you crash into things.

Let’s say it is a different kind of difficulty. Overall the game isn’t, it requires less “teamplay”, but of course, you do much better if you have one.

Mhm, I thought they had joystick support, if you take one of the more elaborate flight control setups. Albeit I dislike the joystick in terms of control, and don’t miss anything from it, except maybe the thumbstick  the part about immersion I can understand.

oh yeah. would be neat if it would work as MP map.

WT has joystick support, but it is really bad. You can’t configure curves, and the parameters are not good, leaving you with a really twitchy joystick, which will give the M+Kb player the advantage.

Also, in arcade 3rd person view, joystick is awful, since the camera is not fixed to the plane axis, but still moves like you are using the mouse+ kb.

World of Warplanes joystick support and integration is much better. The only problem is that the game is crap…

He can’t stop plane that map…

WT is different in that you can’t just go and crash into everything like in SC… And your crosshair thing wobbles everywhere ;p

Little problème for the MAP :
