[O]EM and Laser Mastery Medals not awarded

I was always pretty sure that I should have achieved Plasma and Laser Mastery Medals as I have the one for railguns. But I have a big gaping hole in my medals collection

tonight I got a fear me and it said I destroyed 7 ships with

Am I just going to have to forget about these two medal trees?

You have to get the killshot with the plasma hit… not a missile or mine/minefield.

 

The medals do work, ive gotten a few here and there. Other than that, its beyond me.

As stated by Censored, this kind of Medals will only be rewarded if you deal the killing blow to a target.
