No sound when changing output device, even after removing headphones

Hello,

Charactername:  Arithmancer [DAB]

What did you expect to hear:  Game sounds! Ambient noise, shields down, etc.

What did you hear:  Silence

What was your last action:  I plugged in my headphones to be able to better hear my teammate over a Skype call.

If the bug is reproduceable, please describe the steps to reproduce the bug:  Doesn’t matter what the volume settings are to begin with, just plug a headphone jack into the Mac and there no longer is game sound even after unplugging the headphones

What Mac are you working on (its specs, if you know):

Operating System: OS X 10.9.1

Model: Mid 2009 2.53Ghz Macbook Pro

Standard built in output jack

Eh, if you need the logs for the graphics bugs as well, my other specs are:

8GB 1067 MHz DDr3 RAM

2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256MB graphics

thanks

iosman

When switching sound devices, some programs require a restart to recognize them. I might plug in your headphones before opening the game and see if that works.

Though sound problems on a Mac are super rare. It’s definitely probably the game.
