No sound whatsoever?

I just started the game up and was greeted with what seemed to by a lack of sound. Does this game supposed to have no sound?

Sure this game has sound and the sound is awesome;) Did you check your sound mixer if you have put of the sound for star conflict?

Wait, this isn’t the only game this is happening to me with. It started with this game though, although while playing some other game last night the music was kinda glitchy but the sounds worked.

I alt-tabbed and made sure that the sound in the sound mixer was at max. I’m not sure what kind of problem it is but it’s probably at my end.

Edit: Yeah, somehow my speakers got replaced with something else as the default audio device. My apologies.

Did you try to update your sound drivers?

I had a similar problem some time ago, i had to:

  1. disconnect all audio output devices and uninstall them

  2. uninstall the high defenition audio drivers and re install them to the latest version available from your product manufacturer (EDIT: not these are NOT the same as you standard audio drivers)

  3. reinstall and output drivers (wireless head phones for example)

that sorted it out for me

Nah, it wasn’t my sound drivers somehow my speakers got replaced by something else as the default audio device. After setting my speakers to the default audio device everything worked perfectly.
