After last patch the sounds in this game are all lower (apart the “environmentals”).
If you toggle max zoom it goes back to normal.
No other words to describe this: it’s bad. Revert it back asap.

I am aware of this. I think that it is a feature, but now it can really mess things up.
You sometimes cannot heard the sound of the incoming missile or the direction. Assault rails are actually not heard, unless, i you zoom in, so that you’re able to hear them.
I think they need to make some tweaks.
if it is supposed to be a feature, it is a pretty xxxx one.
I would get “realistic sounds” checkbox optionally for people who say “there is no sound in space!”, but this is just ridiculous
It’s probably got to do with 5 destroyers warping in at once saturating and modulating the voice over guy…quite funny

Good. I just hate this feature now, I don’t like how “realistic” it is. I can’t hear my destroyer coil guns go BOM BOM BOM unless I zoom in, and zooming in makes me unable to see anything in a destroyer. I hope the tweaks do something. Maybe return it like how it was, BUT zooming in make it louder that you have to reduce the volume if you don’t want your ears to explode?

Yup, coils go BOM BOM again.
Works again. Maybe they removed it, or just reduced the effect.
