After playing with the Phase Suppressor myself, I can definitely say this weapon is overpowered. You can get some pretty impressive damage for a weapon that is supposed to have low damage, and combine that with the fact that there is no way to counter the 50% regen reduction… The few games I’ve actually been able to play today have proven to me that it is fairly OP.

On the other hand, as a standalone weapon on the Nyx (without consideration of crew or ship nerfs), the T3 standard of this gun does 1073 thermal damage per second. You will need to hit the target roughly six (maybe ten for a Jericho interceptor) times to consider taking their shield down - note that these have to be consecutive hits.

On the main hand, after some testing and observation, of all of those weapons in use right now I’m actually more surprised you’ve complained about the suppressor and not the nail gun.
i find it funny that u complain about the weakest of all the 3 new weapons. md being the second one and flux phaser being the plain outrageous one i cant deny the fun in using all said weapons tho. if id nerf something it would be the flux phhaser for sure with its 7k range and almost as high damage

Considering I wrote this post like 2 weeks ago, I’d say it made sense then.
I also corrected myself and said Phase Suppressor wasn’t as OP as I first thought, it turned out to be some sort of bug or glitch that got worked out the next day.
And when I wrote this post 2 weeks ago, flux phaser wasn’t nearly as powerful as it is now. Now, flux phaser has its weaknesses. For one, it sucks at close range. It also is fairly hard to hit a good interceptor pilot with it on every shot. That said, it is a very powerful weapon, I have gotten 16k crits with it on my Spark (against a poorly built guard, but I can still get 8-9k crits on a well-built guard that I catch off-phase). That is a lot of damage in one shot, but you have to keep in mind the rate of fire is 28 rounds per minute (if you have the fire-rate implant).
Any time you want to complain, just remember they allow scatter gun and holoships on the same build.
I like the new rail gun on guards. Players who are not good with lasers are now able to hit me when I’m going 690mps in an inty. I feel like there is some form of balance occurring with that gun.
I feel that way about the bubble tracker gun also. Every once in a while you get pinged, and you receive a reminder “fly better” from some random fighter. Honestly, the only bad thing is that I know it is going to be restricted to GS, want command pilots to have it also.
I don’t agree with giving 50% regen reduction to a weapon without a way to counter it. I could understand if the weapon was close range, at 3k though…? So maybe apply some module/implant to counter hull/shield regen reduction?
The new inty laser is fair vs good inty pilots though…
