New to the game, but a competitive player

Hey pilots of Star Conflict. Been a long time player of War Thunder but just recently got into this game. I lurked on the forums for a bit and am trying to gather as much information as possible before coming on here and looking like a complete fool. But I still have to ask some newbie questions.

 

  1. Any really important tips that I will thank you guys for later? I know this is asked a lot but I only want to spend so many hours searching on here.

 

  1. Implants… What should I get? Looks like it costs moneyz to respec and I’ve got no idea what to do. People have said Armadillo is numero uno even with the nerf, this true?

 

  1. I like the look of Jerico ships and wanted to do a few of the lines with them. Everyone on the forums says they are “worse” than other ships in the game right now(in general). What ships do they have that are GOOD? I’d still like to use Jerico ships, so what to avoid/go for? (Seems to be that guards r bad mmmkay? Tier 2 guard doesn’t seem that great)

 

  1. Also been told by my buddy to get the Empire Recon line, that’s it’s “At the moment really good”, the opinion seems to be shared on this forum. And Jerico don’t get Recon… Lame.

 

  1. General piloting tips? I think I have the basics down including toggles and team buffs, anything else?

   at least 1 Multipurpose module is a MUST on almost every role starting from T2 R5 = Dead ship = useless ship

  1. Until you get to R7+ ships stick with R1-3; R2-1/2; R3-3; R4-1/2; R5-1/2; R6-1/3, this is a cookie cutter build for pretty much all ships up to R6, Armadillo starts to shine in R7+ ships, before R1-3 is better

  2. Interceptors are pretty good, fighters are complete waste, frigs are meh

  3. Yes they are good, very easy to not die and very versatile with range of task that can be performed

If you have a good idea of where you’re going, you’re not swerving enough.  You need a barely decent idea of where you’re going.
