New patch costed me 300k for what reason?

I’m not sure what they were thinking removing old modules and ‘refunding’ credits but I’m in T2 currently and I only use warden ships, all of my ships were missing a module and I logged out last night with exactly 437,250 credits, I logged in this morning with the same, modules gone and disappointments. To reequip my mods and special mods tot he same level they were at before, it costed me over 300k. Why is an update costing me the credits i grinded for over the past several days trying to work towards a new ship?

I recently started the game and I personally laughed at all of the gripes and complaints about the last patch buffing grinding and costing people credits, now I can see why the changes they make to this game are nerve racking.

I should not have to pay out to re-upgrade my ships right after I did so last week and it should not be costing me my savings.

I had to pay 19m to unlock my ships again (and because of the bullshit with white modules on ships, lost about 4.5m in that after refunds), don’t worry about 300k

I just started this game, I don’t have millions of credits but now i am set back 15-25 matches worth of credits because i wasn’t given a refund on the modules that were removed from my ships, then of course, forced to buy the modules to be on par with other players.

This update doesn’t seem to be as much of a ‘restructure of the teirs’. It’s a “high end players have too many millions and we need a new money sink”

20 mil here. LOL

it costed me over 300k.

Without meaning to be a killjoy to your cause but; for starters, 300k to reimburse all the stuff you lost isn’t all that much, I’m a tier 2 pilot as well and it’s cost me over 4mil to re-adjust everything.

But secondly, and more importantly; you state that you lost over 300k, now for arguments sake lets just call this 300k. I can garuntee that this would not take 15-25 matches to make up for your loss. If you’re doing scenarios you can easily make around 90k per game so that’s just over 3 games of about 10mins each to get back what you lost, and if you’re playing normally you should be getting around 50k to 80k per game which equates to 6 games max. And that’s not accounting for the loots you get.

I know it’s annoying, but the positives of this patch seem to outweigh the negatives. Set up a ship how you want it to be and play it in its intended role and you’ll see the game has got better in more ways that one.

I just guessed that 300K goes to some modules that are not refund and stay in warehouse somewhere but not fit to any ship that you want to ride.

This occurs to me as well. Having some modules that i own but not able to be used after the changes. Which is a waste of credits on nothing. Then i have to spend additional credits to buy modules to fit my ship again.

It doesn’t mean that it is a very serious issue for me. It also doesn’t mean that developer shouldn’t fix this issue.

It should be a serious issue for players that spent money on the games.

Imagine you bought a beer or 2 and it turns to be coke…It got to have refund.

The game should have better refund system, should allow player to choose to sell ships and modules if the ships and modules are not preferred or even usable.

i gess i am luck my ships gut bummed up trom teir 1 to teir 2 my raptor mkII helped me get more cred it being bombed the modle loss was not that bad if any of you were smart enoff to relize this is beta and that thang get taken away all the time you would have sold the moddle befor the patch happon like i did and then work creds to but the holes in you line while they were cheap like i did to move fowward in it so all in all i gained 1 ship and 800k from this patch you guys jest didnt prepare for the patch and it was your loss they told every one ship refunds not moddles dont blame them for puting in a long and good over due update blame you selfs for not prepareing this is a open beta you should always see around the bend if you want to gain lvls here

It’s only reasonable when you COMPLETELY change the game and the ships/items people bought no longer do what they did when they bought it.

It’s bordering on fraud.

I don’t particularly care about the credits, but the gold represents real money we gave you in good faith.

A gold refund would be a decent gesture of goodwill to the playerbase.

If not, well that’s your choice, but in that case I deem it extremely unlikely I will ever spend any money on this game in the future, because I simply can’t trust you not to pull another “I am altering the deal, pray that I don’t alter it any further” move if I buy something now.

Pretty much this.

Credits should have been refunded anyways to avoid problems with ship roles. Then again, they probably wanted to not mess up synergy…

But this patch was so horribly executed and they even said they took more time to “polish” it. What a joke.

Fraud?

Everyone playing the game clicked “Agree” on the EULA. Give it a read.

It’s misrepresented on Steam as a finished product.

Just because they can do it doesn’t mean it’s proper.

EULA pretty much says they own it and they’re letting you borrow it, even when you spend money, but when you pay for it and they don’t properly compensate you, they’re doing themselves a disservice. We’re trying to help them out.

If the problem is with Steam, then the steam forums would be the place to be complaining about fraud. Gaijin doesn’t determine (nor are they responsible for) what wording Steam uses in their product.

They submitted the information for Steam to put up. Steam doesn’t do that themselves. They are responsible for representing their product properly.

I’d love to see your proof that the marketing boilerplate used by Steam was sourced directly from Gaijin.

You should look into what legal responsibility really means when it comes to multi-corporate product release and marketing.

Its probably not a bad idea to refund gold people spent on mods they can’t use.  But its not fraud.  You accepted an agreement to play their game and they could do whatever they wanted.  Steam is not in anyway responsible. Even if you spent money its too bad you didn’t read the fine print.  Now you feel cheated and angry at the wrong people.  Life its all in the fine print lol

Fine prints should be condensed down to simple english, not a frakking dictionary of words.

lol yes fine print is more then the font size

Total agreement from me.

Lawyers have made a fine mess of the world.

I seem to recall one judge threw Apple’s terms and conditions out of the window on the grounds that it was nearly 20,000 words long, and that was far too long for anyone to be expected to read before clicking the “I accept” button.

If I ruled the world, I would force all media to print their terms and conditions in a font no smaller than size 12 Times New Roman, on a page no larger than A5. Any company whose terms and conditions failed to meet this stipulation would have a £10,000 per word fine leveled at each owner of the company, to be taken from their post-tax salary.

Seriously, it is absolutely pathetic that published media have made do with terms and conditions that amount to “don’t claim you wrote this book.” and yet an mp3 requires a two hundred page legal document!
