New Leveling / Ship / Module System

Alright Let me start with this

First off, If any official posts are made, they are done now by error.

this post you are referencing two is 2 years old and plans have greatly changed.

source? it’s not believable unless you have a source.

The only thing believable is data from the devs. you have none. mine, while old, is still official communication. IE: believable.

untill then i MUST believe you are nothing but hot air. Official sources. or you have nothing.

Second

Do not confuse trading between a station (buying low and selling high) as Trading with players (ie Like Auction house, and trade in world of warcraft).

this is commonly refered to as economy. I have a high impression English is not your first language. I will forgive this with that in mind.

Trade typically refers to trade between players.

NPC transactions are typically referred to as economic.

why?

When looking at the economy of the game, money enters and leaves the system via NPC transactions. you kill an NPC or complete a mission or match and you gain money.

money leaves the system when you purchase something from an NPC.

When you trade with a player money does not leave the system. IE: the economy doesn’t change per se. this is why there is a distinction.

Third, I have little knowledge of interest in Star citizen, I watched 15-20 seconds of the video premier and saw the graphics and closed it knowing the game will not last

and that if it did, it’d be another 20k player game (like eve)

Yes…one of the most anticipated new MMOs. that has raised over 8 million dollars from fans, and won’t even hit closed beta for another year is going to fail miserably. right. you clearly know what’s going on in the industry. I bet you’re one of those people that thinks D3 failed.

also star citizen will be using the Cry Engine 3. if you thought those graphics were bad, why the hell do you think this is good?

Next, Believe me I am much more acquainted with the current changes or plans of the game then you are.

finally i know, because your not a game designer and really have no position

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

This made me lol so much.

EVE hasn’t been a 20k player game for many years even though it has been shlt since 2008 pretty much.

And I got no clue about Star Citizen except it is hyped as xxxx and will propably do 100 times better than this game will at this rate, SC would propably die off if they applied the changes you suggest lol

It is slowly dying already…

It is slowly dying already…

Yes, it is. So do we slowly watch it die, or try and change this game, in hopes of reviving it?

Not much hope in changing it for the better, the devs have proven that they don’t listen to the community at all with their changes…

This game will forever be dominated by the Russians who started earlier than anyone else, no one will ever be able to catch up to them with the system like it is right now.

That is Very Inaccurate the devs listen all the time.

honestly, they havent shown it a lot ever since I joined…But they did make several improvements as well, but several mistakes as well and the mistakes are more clear :frowning:

As long as they learn from their mistakes and improve there’s nothing wrong with experimenting

Transparency is a very new thing to the industry. only a few companies actually do this. and all of a sudden everyone expects it everywhere. it helps a lot though, for when difficult decisions are made (Nerfs, etc.), to know why they are made. Gaming is unlike any other consumer industry because of this. Developers have unprecedented direct exposure to their customers. and customers to the developers. especially for MMOs

Some companies are very very good about it. (Riot is on the top of my list, they are great about talking to the community and explaining why things happen)

Others are more like ‘you take what we give you.’ (EA comes to mind.)

The developers here are Russian. I haven’t looked at the Russian boards, but they devs may be active over there. they may not be. I have no idea what % of the population is EU/NA which is what the majority of the forum posters here are. but seeing that the most i’ve seen online on the forums at once is like…30. I’m willing to be that that % is pretty small right now. NA gamers also tend to be very entitled. not saying taht’s good or bad, but we have very high standards for games. they may not have such high standards. Things to keep in mind.

Im fairly sure the Russian community is larger then most think.

I See times where there is 50+ on forums at once.

english forums have like 15-20. So

So probably Lots of russian players

No, your idea essentially changes the entire game. Go design your own mmo… If you’re going to make suggestions; They should contour to what has already been implemented. Your idea is flawed and will create large balancing issues. Have you ever heard of the term “Metagaming”? With your suggestion the developer’s would have to consistently change and re-balance, and by your suggestion would create an atmosphere where players feel they have to “pay to win” in order to complete… Which would detract from its already small community. Personally, believe the current system is fine the MMing needs some fixing, a few small balancing issues, , a better tutorial should be created, joystick controls should be enabled, and the loyalty system could use a little tweaking. Lastly, I look forward to the new game mode and am curious how it will turn out.

There will be major no balancing issues.

All ships will be on the same module Tier.

All ships will be on the same weapons Tier

The only difference is one tier will have access to heavy weapons, and another wont. Its already like that in game.

So increasing the Tech level of a ship, will only grant access to other technologies. Its a system that needs to be balanced once

Then its finished.

Does not require passive overhauls,The concepts are already in game and being practiced.

but it will change the feel of the game in a massive way.

There will be major no balancing issues.

So many things wrong with this statement i don’t know where to begin.

All ships will be on the same module Tier.

All ships will be on the same weapons Tier

You need to phrase your ideas better. I know what you mean because i’ve read your posts. but anyone else that reads this won’t have a clue. it sounds nonsensical, especially with the following statement. You’ve essentially said that all ships will have access to all modules and weapons. then immediately after say a different tier of ship will have access to heavy weapons. makes it confusing and makes you sound like an idiot.

what you’re really wanting to do, is remove MMing tiers. not ship tiers, but you also want to equalize the power difference between extremes. you need to make this clear. but most of your posts are nonsense anyway. . .

Wow… Started off ok, got some negative feedback, went very bad very quick…

Some interesting ideas, but truly not feeling it for a rework of this game.  A development of a new game? Sure, go nuts.

/Only a game player.

I understand this and I haven’t read most of the confersation
it basicly comes down to player skill and time u have playd u can use any ships in any battle but u only end up with ships around the same level or pilots with the same skill level

Problem with game: Grinding

Problem number 2: Population

Do you understand you just resurrected a thread that has been long dead since April, right? The game is completely different now.
