No. Tommorow the limit would still be 10.

“necessary tech need.” How is this in any way necessary?

Necessary for crash grab

That limit is to promote Trading right ? Because trading is a paid option, it destroys GS. The game shouldn’t change to push players into using trading, if it’s a feature fueled by money.

[@CinnamonFake](< base_url >/index.php?/profile/257821-cinnamonfake/) We need insight into this tech difficulty and engine restrictions, man. Most people are toxic and won’t give a crap but other people that actually wanna improve the game while keeping it economically viable to the developers would benefit greatly by knowing the game restrictions. It could create more realistic suggestions and make it easier to understand the decision your team takes.

You are currently labeled as Developer, so I guess we don’t have a dedicated CM? Get one, a good one and lets talk about the game, the guts not the superficial content. Share more stats, server intel and all things numbers, let the players give their opinion on server location and so. I’d love to have a server between Latam and NA, to maybe create a good amount of matches at 140 ping instead of the 280 I usually get, but I never suggested that, I don’t know if we have enough Americas people to justify such a change and even if there’s infrastructure to support it on that region. So once again, let’s talk about what makes the game tick… and balance, we need balance… even the prototype ones could use a bit of balance.

That is neither tech difficulty nor engine restriction.

It’s “for the future”.

Unfortunately, its not up to us to change minds about necessary tech need. And this is the resource cap. But we tried to slow the process to make every pilot as comfortable as it can possibly be ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

… Okay, unless the game’s online data is stored in a series of floppy disks I don’t see how this could be true.

There are no “tech needs”, it’s simply not possible in this day an age for a company to run out of info space for their players.

There is, however, the possibility of a company cheaping out on ressources needed to track players inventory and on a company seeing the possibilities of cash grabs ressource limits can achieve.

I was looking forward to Gaijin’s new game: Enlisted, but if this nickle and dime business model is what I can expect, I’ll stay clear of it, Hell I’ll uninstall War Thunder when I get home…

Gaijin is just, well, dead to me.

Soo another small worthless update…

On a happier note Starfighter Inc looks like it might be founded!

It changes nothing at all. We’ll still get doomed in the end. The only difference is that instead of instant doom, it’s be a slow, painful death.

well if we see it that way, no matter if they would introduce a cap or not, at some point in a few billions years, some player might reach the last integer in the database table. so we are all doomed.

The UMC has made a wise decision to reconsider, our efforts to refit our Matryoshka Brain on K-238 Celebris Minor into a Dyson Beam aimed at UMC HQ will be called off. This would have been otherwise a fine surprise in a few years…

10.000 seems like a reasonable cap to me to grow into, and i hope, at least in the future, such sudden cut actions are avoided. Any resource should have a sane overhead.

Also, instead of destroying resources, why not add an additional resource, which drops if resources are destroyed? Wait. I Am Joking, Am I Joking - but at least credits.

limit in my opinion was a bad idea… but was a HORRIBLE decision simply destroy when drop something above the limit.

Why not convert to credits, at least?

I see one issue with the change. I am not up to date on this new ship mats, so it may or may not matter. 10k cap seems nice, but I am certain the last bit won’t remain true forever.

"After analyzing the responses of pilots who have long and consistently engaged in accumulation of a large amount of resources, UMC decided to set a limit of 10,000 units per resource, with the exception of unique resources for production of Tai’Kin ship cabin and nodes.

All types of resources, which will appear in the future, will also be limited. This policy will not be changed in the future.

This change can be expected tomorrow."

I’m just laughing at those with premium subscription’s ‘+2 loot chances after battle’, which used to be worth something one day, a very long time ago.

I am happier the limit is higher @10kImage result for happy monkey

The value of license is nearly nothing now. The loot is mostly 4k credits and stuff I dont need. Monos have been removed from loot, Mk2, Mk4 kits have long been removed, Used to be able to get 3 monos a zone, now its only 2. Xenos never dropped in loot, but they should. In PVE you used to get a free dupe if you used a premium ship, but they took that away too.

In some ways the game got better, but they negated that with making resources harder to get or nerfing expensive ships to the point of uselessness. Welcome back long time no see.

Now in order to stay ahead you need to take out a second mortgage on your house and have no life. What ever happened to one or the other. LOL

Premium ships can longer gain mission rewards/loyalty, unless they are ‘max rank’ R15. If you own premium R12, and non-premium R15, you now get zero rewards from flying your premiums. Nice way to devalue all T4 prems and below. They’re reduced to +20% credits basically. Ahem, I’m back.

The new cap seems nice but did nobody read the “Most of the old resources will be phased out of production, but their stock in player storage can be converted into new resources. They will be used to create future tech and will have a limit on the amount in stock.” part? This way they say we can store them but they become worthless. We can change them into useable stuff but that has the low cap.

As hobbyst programmer and 3d modeller, I’ll ask too - why is resource limiting tech even needed “for future”. “To pay less for database servers” is only reasonable explanation for me.

it has nothing to do with a back end support and has everything to do with game economy

I will come back tomorrow. Be seeing you!

seriously how is it “needed” for future game development?

its like destroyers, 99% of the playerbase didn’t ask for it, and on the other hand 1% of Grumpy Guses did…
