New Ellydium Development Mechanic

To fulfill the Ellydium contracts by Dr. Dimeni, it says:

“… with a ship of the maximal available rank from any side of conflict in a combat slot.”

Now look at my Thar’ga ship. I researched it to rank 10. But if you decide to switch off some modules and hit <Apply> button in the edit and research screen (development roundel) in the game, the ship will actually be fixed as a rank 9 ship and one can fulfill the mission in t3 (that is ranks 7-9).

This is astonishing, because one would assume the game would recognize the ship research status of rank 10, actually.

But I like that new mechanic. In this way one can take the ‘beloved’ Ellydium ship into battle of choice: t3,t4,t5!! That’s a huge improvement, like that!

mmm…that doesnt work with my tharga ![:(](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/003j.png “:(”) i cant complete spec ops mission (When doing destroyer T3) and also the “win 4-10 games”.

Nah he just didn’t realized yet that the Spec op mission don’t have a rank requirement.

Yes thats true, easiest is t3 Spec Ops. But maybe a little hard for newbees to get into an effective wing : I said the devs should encourage corps sole for the newcomers like academies without Dreadnaught figths. This could be like special easy missions until r9 on old bases and harder mission on Ellydium base or the like …

And :: off cause a special Pirate station in middle of map for vets and pros. Newcomers must fight their way in!!

Tharga ranks: it seems that every 150 points one rank up, but that would not sum up to 1300 end-points in rank 15 (see in the picture above) .

Maybe there is some non-linearity in there or a knee in the curve?

That max rank nonsense need to go. I dont want to choose between progress or missions. I have couple of ships that stuck on R11, that I cant level peacefully because game forces me to have R15 in slot, locking R11s out of game.

It isn’t linearly.

The first levels requires 150/200 points.

R13 on the other hand have only 50 points available. Which is stupid since half of the nodes available at r13 instantly send you to r15 because of this.

Yah, yah I think its work in finetuning…

Finetuning? This broken system is as old as the BS revamp of the contracts. And NOTHING has changed yet. It’s disappointing, nonsense and just pure BS.

I totally agree with you. It seems that the only way to advance loyalty contracts or Ellydium ones, is to use rank 15 ships now.

Whoever thought of that, needs to get shaken and stirred.

It’s actually worse. With the old contract system I could get a steady and regular amount of loyalty income.

This new system provides less in such and the worse thing is, I must play Tier V in order to get it.

The fact is that before, it was “Use a rank 13 and above”

Now it’s “Equip a rank 15”

In the first case you were forced to use a r13/r14/r15. But you could equip r11/12/13 if you wanted to.

While now we have to equip a r15 but aren’t forced to use it. So you can use a r12 ship too.

BUT, you can’t equip r11 ships anymore.

At the moment I circumvent the bs a bit with a Tharga ship in one of the 4 docks that is fixed to rank9… Not optimal but seems to work.
