Nerf the Tai'Kin

Thing is that when people talk like that [@pacoXXI](< base_url >/index.php?/profile/259648-pacoxxi/), they aren’t good at any of the roles ![:)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/001j.png “:)”)

I have no problems playing with any ship and with any ship I have results. When I write in a forum that does not deny a ship for another. I think those who deny a ship in favor of others are a player who can not play 360 degrees.

If you are writing this I think he has serious problems playing with all the game ships-

It would also be nice to do nerf at tar Gha and taikin, but when asked to do power ups at normal interceptors or gunships they all complained like now. When an interceptor or a gunship fails to destroy a destroyer or frigate nobody complains!

Interceptors (and fighters to a lesser degree) are fast and manouverable, can get objectives done fast, can quickly swarm over isolated enemies, and just as fast get away from bad situations. Frigates trade away all that for more staying power and bigger guns. Frigates should be better at direct combat than the lighter ship classes, because otherwise what would even be the point of ever choosing a frigate over an interceptor?

There is no class class that should be better than another because the other is larger. Do not you tell me that a zero or other bombardment hunt can not throw a battalion or a destroyer? " Do you think that a nuclear bomb does not completely destroy a frigate or destroyer with full hp? Furthermore, if a destroyer or frigate isolated would only have minimal damage to a hunt, what could you do with an em cannon and a missile if you were a recon? You would lose so much time doing damage that might get reinforced. Try to make a challenge alone with a friend with a strong interceptor and destroyer or a strong frigate Counts damage but also time.

okay, i am fine with that, if those taikins would actually target the long ranges who camp uselessly in spawn or the destro who is shooting the beacon while eating his sandwitch. And I dont mean good snipers who do their job, or destros who work together with the team.

but they dont. taikins usually kill everything except those. So I dunno if that is so much a response to bad gamestyle. They have beacon denial, are extremely hard to kill, and have yet again most annoying auto-aim no-skill weaponry en masse.

Which is what I hate most about them, it’s their most devoted pilots, or the people it attracts - while the Tharga is a gunship, and requires at least a bit of a killer instinct and skill to use, the taikin is yet another ship for total cowards, who finally have an effective alternative to scatter gun kiting recons. Randomly spamming stuff and flying in circles is the main tactic of that ship. It is for “feeling good”. Imho Recons were fine as they were without teleporting stuff or creating clouds in a beacon hunt that denies the beacon forever

These concepts mainly are just hard to stomach, because the game actually becomes quite ridiculous through them

While i cant support how OP the taikin obviously is i can see where pacoXXI is coming from. If you get a moment count the static players in your game, afterward u get the SC minigame of seeing 100% hit ratio of those players whining in chat about being killed. I flew a brokk in many games during the brokk event for monos and sure enough if u move then the killer taikin bubbles never reach you and the rare ones that do dont do enough damage to a properly fitted ship. Having touble in your guard then stop flying guard. Im not in game rn but i know there are enough in every game being played. Exceptions ofc like an actual decent player flying taikin, but its so rare now even good players start to get lazy with it.

Ofc flying dess is diff but seriously who cares bout them guys, even when i use mine i still feel like an a**

The game is constantly changing but the players en masse do it at such a slow rate. Before the guard buff and before taikin there was a decent mix of players using things like a tackler which used well will stop a taikin dead and deny 50-100% of their bs. But nope, its get in a guard like half your team cause its ‘safer’. Or the latest i saw, sit in your only ship (lrf) in spawn an whine bout how xyz is broken… well played ![:005j:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/005j.png “:005j:”)

Agree, the beacon denial is insane without being a powerful attack in and of itself. An annoyance more than anything. Had a beacon hunt game in T5 where there was so many blue farts/gravy holes that the game went to time and a score of almost 200/200. Then there is the guys who finally got to r15 with it and they had a plan from the start on build and ‘tactics’ to spend the match takamina style strafing at their weapon range spamming more annoyance BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP!

Both are cheap in playstyle and to actually make rather than more effective… whats the word… oh yeah, RECONS.

Im sure there should be a massive list of nerfs or needed counters for taikin but im not gonna list for every one of these green things, its obvious its OP its supposed to be, are we really expecting anyting different for the next or the one after? I mean there are some here rn complaining that the tharga has been nerfed to being useless. ![:005j:](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/005j.png “:005j:”)

Or to sum up

Unless the player fits a Tackler with multipurpose modules instead of Tackler modules, Tai’Kin and the rest of the inties will be a headache.

Trust me, a well fitted tackler will mean the end of any intie (That;s the role of a Tackler: to destroy inties)

You could ask WolfKhan (hasnt been on lately) I used to dogfight him on customs, his Caltrop could mess up any ship I bringed to him (even the Tyrant WITHOUT THE DESSIE NERFS) … the only thing that really ended his ‘fiesta’ was my Sword AE, which was fitted to deal with mosquitoes ![;)](<fileStore.core_Emoticons>/emoticons/002.png “;)”)

Tackler wont work… Tai’kin’s special modules (espically jump crystal and return crystal) gets it out of any trouble. I’ve seen it myself. One tai’kin has like one bar of health left and it teleported away using return crystal. Totally F***ed up

It’s not fair that players with fat wallets get these op ship and us players who have to grind them get them nerfed just as they unlock them. It dont matter because the devs only listen to you guys who want nerfs. Nerfs are what’s ruining the game. Both in rewards and fire power.

What is gonna be the end of SC is nerfs. The issue is the players with tons of resources get these ships on release. Then all the players who dont have the resources to make these ship and max them out complain. Then when these said players finally get the ships they have been nerfed and the same players complain they have been nerfed and are useless. Screwed either way.

My solution is make it super easy for all to max out whatever new op ship out there.

Didn’t they already resolve this by making it in phases so you can’t get it to rank 15 and spawn trap everyone?

I would absolutely love to grind for a crappy ship and enjoy it just like i enjoyed doing the same with the other decent/semi-decent crappy ships that were nowhere near powerful in anything their role would’ve offered.
