As many as you wan’t, as long as you are not using multiple accounts in the same time to abuse the system, like farm stats, wins, materials, karma and such, that will quickly lead to perma ban of all the accounts.
On the forums however, afaik, you are only allowed to post actively with one account at once per person.

My Friend has i think the same problem/complain he can only access 3 of his 5 accounts (idk why so many but it doesnt matter:D) from his PC
he isnt active here so he asked me to do it:)
if he tries to log in with the 4th or 5th acc. he gets this:
Lost Connection to Server … Reason: Exceeded the number of accounts for this device
he said it these ones were his main accounts… i wouldnt be happy too if i couldnt access my main Acc. from my home PC

well I am able to run 5 accounts on same machine in same time

I have no idea how ru forums are, but i got this from the star conflict forum rules up there.
Every member has only one account and can not create duplicate accounts without consent of the administration of this forum.

i think its pretty simple. the rule is there, so if anyone starts something malevolent by abusing two accounts to trick people into thinking he is dealing with two separate entities, for whatever reason or intent, that goes beyond simple trolling, may it be deceit or mobbing, or any conjob whatsoever, the rule can be enforced. i think it’s a no-brainer, why mods handle it more randomly.
after all, since the forum account - as far as i remember - gets created if i create a game account automagically - could be not the case anymore - it is a weird rule.
but i did not mention it to debate whether it is a law that is rigorously followed, rather since it is a question i heard a lot personally, since some people are uncertain, if they can use alt accounts, just because the forum rules are the only place mentioning any restriction to accounts whatsoever; i know it since i was once reading all that stuff aswell because i wanted an alt to retry new features back then or play with newer pilots without being tempted to go full purple into t2; as my own subjective agenda led me to know this, i do understand your own point of possibly knowing different circumstances on the ru forum, so yeah i get you.
well, it was the only mention, until the recent rumors of this “too many accounts on device” lockout mechanism, which might be against mule or hoarder accounts, or might be some cheat prevention, but imho is really a useless feature i would not spend money developing on, if the devs asked me, since such accounts are easier found if one uses his brain and a bit of sql, and in this form might only lead to false positives anyway.

I have repeatedly reported people for breaking the games rules (AFK farming in open space, abuse in chat and in game, for example) and nothing ever happens.
I could continue, but I really can’t be bothered.

You can unlock everything by using one account, there are no limitations regarding amount of ships you can unlock or which classes you can play.

Players found ways to cause damage to the game/players by using multiple accounts. In order to prevent this, we have limited the amount of accounts per computer. Where exactly is this unclear?
I was wondering if it would be possible to have 2 forum accounts on one PC. I am asking this because I would like to make a thread for my corporation and publish it through an account that would be used by the CEO and VPs as well. This way we could have an account for ‘official’ corporation posts that could be edited by multiple members and access could be passed on in case of changes in leadership or membership.
