Mouse suggestion (working for Linux)

It’s much more useful to add a keybind for “lock any enemy”, which is badly named, since it locks the closest enemy and cycles based on distance from there. Very useful for orienting yourself in a dogfight. I’ve got it bound to “c”.

A very important key for me is “Lock who’s locking you”, which allows you to see who’s trying to shoot at you. If you get in one of those fabled one-on-one situations, this is pretty useful. I’ve got it bound to " ` ", just to the left of the “1” key.

I use a normal office mouse. The cited information above made me think if I should get a usb mouse with more buttons than my default 3.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a good multi-button mouse working for Linux version of Star Conflict (that is without spec. software to be installed)?

I’m using a g502 protheus core, and it’s pretty amazing. But I don’t think it works with linux.

It does.

I use that mouse as well, it’s pretty kickass.

Well, then Avarshina that’s an amazing mouse. It has a total of 11 customizable buttons, you can change the mouse DPI while playing just by pressing a button, and, if I’m not wrong, you can save a configuration for each one of your game, and then the mouse automatically changes configuration depending on the game you are playing.

Claw grip and Palm grip mouse have distinguishably different weights and side buttons located some what in different places relatively to the centre of a mouse, don’t just get w/e works for other, do some research.

Don’t ever buy a mouse for gaming online or without checking first by yourself. I have G502 as well, moved from SS Xai and I find it awful.  I can basically use only three standard buttons and a wheel, other buttons are located in so inconvenient places that I cannot press one without changing grip or pressing another (and I couldn’t return it for some reasons). So my advice is - go to some big computer store, spend some amount of time testing grips, buttons and general feel. Mouse is not a bottle of beer - you will be using it for next few years, so choose wisely - your hands will thank you for that.

Yep I have to agree it is all individually. I personally find the G502 excellent since it fits my grip perfectly, it is not all too expensive, very customizable and quite precise. Although you should do some research, check what you need, what you want and what you are willing to pay for it. Also extras like RGB light are not bad, if you want them.

I bought mine on the Internet, although it was avaiable in the Tech Store so I tested it, bought it on the internet because it was damn cheap there.

For me the best about it is this nice scroll wheel, so I can fly over shittons of shitposts in notime
